Way too early, but saw a link on SI yesterday saying we're currently 21 pt favs in this game. A couple online sites just put out their opening game lines yesterday.

Remember when Manti came in and make those impact plays in his first game against Nevada? Im looking for Jaylon to do the same here.

my buddy wants to do shots every time we score (after pushups of course). Anyone know how to sneak a gallon jug of whiskey into the stadium?

These are a safe bet:

Or, if you have a food saver/ vacuum sealer, you can make easily-smuggled whiskey pouches.

I salute your dedication to the inebriated celebration of Irish TDs.

I'm calling Jaylon getting his 1st sack in the 3rd quarter.

We're borderline encouraging someone to bring a particular drug illegally into Notre Dame Stadium, while simultaneously excoriating a kid for perhaps illegally carrying around a different (less harmful) drug, which ended up getting him kicked out of school?

It's a bit ironic, from my perspective.

If they score 17, as the one poster suggests they will, then I will vomit. Literally, vomit. And it won't be from sharing too many binoculars with Wiskey all game

Let's get this out of the way early – perhaps a billboard on the bus route to the stadium that reads something like:

"Welcome, Owls, to The Irish Temple of Doom!" with side by side pics from the movie and the stadium.

Never underestimate the power of cheesy ...

First game on the schedule we need to have Golson to Brown on the very first play for a huge gain. Let everyone know we are back and we are serious about winning.

Reporter: "Why didn't you have Golson throw to Brown on the first play?"
Kelly: "We're not serious about winning."

Are you really expecting this?

What kind of offense do they run? They ranked last in passing yards last year with 120 per game, ranked 31st in rushing per game, and ranked 86th in scoring with 24 points a game.

Their pretty impressive running back, Montel Harris, went to the draft, so they lose him. He had 1054 rushing yards last year and 12 touchdowns. Their second leading rusher was their quarterback, with 444 yards. If that tells us anything

I think they're transitioning to a spread pass attack. They passed almost twice as often as they rushed in their spring game.

He's now at TE.

My one ancillary interest in this game is to see how many Irish players contribute (substantially).

Apparently they are breaking in a new center and right tackle this year. Nix and Tuitt should be licking his

They are also replacing 2 defensive ends, a middle linebacker, and both safeties.

How about this - who will get a sack first, Jaylon or EV?

I would say EV gets the first assist on a blown play/jailbreak. But Jalon gets the fist solo, midway through the 2nd.

This better be a mud hole stomping to set the tone for the rest of the year.. If ND doesn't light them up by that 21 point spread by halftime I will not be happy.
