I believe he visited during the season with Ryan Green and Ryan said Riley was a big ND fan.

Nothing really stands out for me on this guy, he is only a sophomore so I will definitely keep my eye on how he develops. Definitely has the size to play a couple positions but right now seems too slow for a TE and too light for the OL... Again, he is only a sophomore, so he could easily be a good player.

remember big guys like this take a while to get coordination down..their body's are growing faster than what their coordination is...he is only 15/16

In the last article posted it said he was working with a speed coach and was taking advice from Alford about needing to get faster and stronger. Have to love a kid that understands his weaknesses and is willing to take advice and work to get better at such a young age!

Reilly Gibbons, a rising junior at St. Petersburg Catholic, just got offered by Tennessee, his first. He's a 6-6, 245-pound TE.

Alford told him that he needs to really work on his speed and blocking to earn his offer, which he plans on doing. Told him he would like to see his 40 down to around 4.7. Will camp here in July (which means Mr. Green could be coming along too).

Kid is all Irish if we offer.

My dad comes in the weight room and lifts with me, and before my bench, squat, or power-clean - all my big lifts - he always tells me, ‘Coach Alford would want you to do this.’ That really gets me pumped up."

Most kids hit their growth around that it e so at 16 he is more than able to grow more. Both up and out

I'd imagine that his measurables will only get better as he gets more time in the weight room. Good to hear that if he earns it, the offer will be there for him to accept.

I also like how this potentially plays out with Green.

He isn't the next Rudolph/Eifert, etc. He's a big beast waiting to hurt someone, and I think our team needs that (ala Troy). He screams run game to me.

We don't even know if Troy Niklas will be the next Troy Niklas yet. He hasn't even caught a pass in a Spring Game, much less a regular season game. So before we can compare anyone to Troy, we have to find out what we have with Troy (hopefully he'll be as good as you think he'll be).

As for Gibbons, we have to wait awhile to see where he'll end up. It's crazy that he's only a sophomore and coaches have to figure out where he'll play in order to see if he deserves an offer. I'd say we need to see how he plays as a junior, and how big he is, before we can really figure it out. Or maybe we'll see if he goes to camps...

2014 OL Gibbons receives second offer - Football Recruiting - Southeast Region Blog - ESPN

Apparently has made the move to OL.

St. Petersburg (Fla.) Catholic offensive lineman Reilly Gibbons received an offer from Rutgers this week according to his father.

Gibbons (6-foot-4, 240 pounds) started the spring at tight end and received his first offer from Tennessee but has since moved to left tackle. His father says he's quickly embraced the change.

"He was asked to move because he'd do much more to help the team there and Reilly has loved every minute of it," Shannon Gibbons said. "Auburn stopped by to see him and they think he has serious long-term potential."

Gibbons said that Miami has also been by to see his son and they are hopeful and offer will come when they attend Miami's camp on June 9.

This is the portion espn lets you read for insider articles.

It was a matter of time.. a lot of scouts plus people on this board thought that was the natural progression for him. He also picked up some new offers recently, but I would have to go back to twitter to find them. Lazy, I know.
