Kettering ain't shabby...I just wouldn't go in that Wal-Mart at night.

I have absolutely no love at all for scUM (F'em), but I do have an ounce of pity for this kid. From what he committed to until now the changes he has endured (coaching and scheme-wise) and the sieve-like offensive line, he shouldn't have changed his number to 98, he should have changed it to a bullseye. Seriously, I loved what we did to him and his team this year and still enjoy the highlights of their loss to MSU last year, but he was taken out of that game late not for a specific injury, but because he was SO beaten up and battered in general from getting sacked so many times and getting hit nearly every other time he touched the ball be it right after a handoff or a pass. His lineman's only help for him was to pull him up off the ground time and time again.
I still don't think he would have been a great QB as I think there are people with greater skill sets, but I think he could have had a better college career if he hadn't made the decision to be a Meatchicken Man.
the day Rich Rod was fired Gardner should have left too to be honest. He has basically wasted his college career at UM.
The ghost of Tom Harmon certainly wishes he would have left.
100% true Brandon didn't want Miles even though Miles wanted the job. Has to do with some past baggage and beef with Miles. Neither Harbaugh was interested at that point.
This time around, they could get one of the big three IF AND ONLY IF they're really willing to open the checkbook. I'm talking minimum $6 mil+ will probably do it. Both Jim and Miles much more probable than Jon I'd imagine... both have reasons to want out of current gigs.
If you are successful as a coach in the NFL, why would you want to go to a college job? With limiting the time you have to actually coaching the players, to kissing boosters butts, to playing nanny to players antics and (depending on where you coach) making sure they are attending class and passing, much less selling yourself and the school to 16-18 yr olds and their parents...why embrace the headaches and stress?
yeah i dunno wtf Harmon's family were thinking when they consented to that. It's one thing if Gardner had of been an All-Conference QB or something but he was barely treading water and being provided with little assistance to achieve success :/
Mark Harmon is a great guy and he is swimming in NCIS money and knocks boots with "Mindy" for forever. Happy and rich guy can be magnanimous.
Is Mark Harmon the son of Tom Harmon? I had no freaking idea.
Someone missed the Michigan game last year. Lucky you.
No, not really. After that horrendous rain delay (amid the horrendous game) against USF the stadium was still probably about three quarters or a half full.
Then there was another weather delay at the end of the game (when the game was basically over) that I bet would've been a similar empty scene... but I wasn't around for that.
Those who stay will be champions.
When I was really young I remember a late season game my grandpa took me to that it was pretty empty at ND but it was damn cold.

Not sure if this article was posted, but boy is Michael Taylor down on the UofM. This story was linked on SI.com as well.
Ex-Michigan QB Michael Taylor rips football, leadership
There were definitely more at BYU last year. That was supposed to be the coldest game in 20 plus years right?

It was the coldest ever supposedly. That game was absolutely miserable. I forgot who we played until now. All I remember was freezing half to death and enjoying nothing.
I think it was the coldest since '91, which was against Navy and 24 degrees. BYU last year was 26 degrees and the first actual snow game since the Snow Bowl in '92. Syracuse in '08 was a close 2nd at 27 degrees...I didn't make it to BYU last year, but I was at Syracuse. It honestly felt colder than 27 with how the wind was and all.
