If loaded means two really good players surrounded by a ton of slow white boys, then meatchicken was just that... loaded. Finishing 1-3 was not how Harbaugh envisioned his season, but I do think the B1G was a bit overrated this season. I think he is still a couple of recruiting classes away from having the type of talent he need to be a serious contender. Harbaugh will earn his money next year. But he does have their program headed in the right direction IMO.

Then your Tide better win by 6 TD's over the mid major they play today.

Michigan was a serious contender. They're 2 plays away from playing Clemson today.

The thing about Michigan is that they were lucky to get PSU before PSU found their stride, and lucky to play a super soft early schedule with a bunch of home games and minimal travel. Lost @Iowa, @Ohio State, and in Florida. Seems like travel matters and ND should maybe take note...

Also, what do people think about Peppers? To me, it seemed suuuuuuper sketchy that he spent time in the box instead of on the sidelines with his brothers in arms after he magicked a hamstring injury (which I'm sure will be fine by pro day) during a walkthrough. Has anyone ever heard of someone pulling a hammy during a walkthrough? Guess there is a first time for everything.

I think the hammy was an excuse for a blistering penis.

Agree to disagree. They were loaded with talent and upperclassmen. They run a ground and pound, they don't need track stars like Oregon to do what they want to do. Harbaugh inherited players that fit his style.

I completely disagree that he's a couple of classes away. That's naturally what you say whenever a new coach gets close, but it's just not the case. His team in 2 years will be lucky to have the talent they had this year.

Implied the same thing in my post above---sketchy is the perfect word for it. Don't buy it at all.

Guess we can disagree then. Just because a team is full if seniors doesn't mean they are talented. Maybe talented for a suspect schedule and a conference that was a bit overrated. In the end, this juggernaut of a team lost to a young OSU team, an FSU team that was well below their usual talent level, and an Iowa team that was not very good.

All while having very highly rated classes in the past 4 years, players similar to Harbaugh system (they went from prop style to pro style... not like he's inheriting a spread), and tons of those talented players as upper classmen. So we'll see but yes, we couldn't disagree more about this.

Classic Irish brought it up late last night, but yeah...super sketchy on the hamstring injury. He couldn't have picked a more convenient timing, or a less risky injury excuse. No NFL teams will worry about that little hammy pull come draft day. I forgot the fact that the day before a game is always a walkthrough...yeah....no way he pulled it during a walkthrough. 95% sure this was an excuse not to play in the game.

Michigan would have gotten absolutely pantsed vs Bama or Clemson. They might be 2 plays away but the gap in talent is MILES wide. Hindsight being 20-20 I would definitely have put in PSU over OSU. OSU was lost tonight, no answers for anything.

FSU/UM should have been an ass whipping, I think Jimbo took his foot off the gas too early.

PS: Am I the only one who really doesn't see an elite talent in Peppers? Kids a great player, reads bubble screen like nobodies business, but man those stats...

Much to the surprise of no one, Peppers is declaring for the Draft. Sure is a shame he injured that hamstring in a walkthrough the day before the bowl game  Watching out for that Draft stock.

He decommitted or some JH helped to decommit him?

They were always gonna lose someone (or two) from their OL haul this year. At least Herbert had equal options in Florida ad Miami all along. Michigan never dominated the CB's. The only flips are from the Midwest analysts. The SE analysts mostly stayed with their UF/U predictions.

If Ohio St offers Honigford, he's leaving too. His dad played basketball for the Bucks.

2017 recruiting class update: Michigan trying to put the pieces together in stretch run before signing day

With Wyatt Shallman's announcement of a graduate transfer and with Kai-Leon Herbert's decommitment, Michigan scholarship count is at eighty-three. The Class has twenty-six verbals of whom eleven have enrolled.

Commits wavering - Kurt Taylor, RB - OV to MSU

Jan Official Visits - none so far. Brandon Sebastian, CB, commit to BC canceled his OV. Oliver Martin has visit scheduled.

Targets -
Aubry Soloman, DT - Georgia lean. Decommitted from Michigan, but still considering 'ines
Willie Gay, LB - Michigan still in it.
Oliver Martin, WR - OV this weekend
Nico Collins, WR

Outside looking in
Tedarrell Slaton,, OG
Jay Tufele, DT

My current scholarship count assumes no decommitments, no further transfers or attrition from scholarship players. All fifth years seem to be staying. Michigan has seen eight graduate transfers in the last two years.

ND needs to use the power of Faith and call in a favor with the Vatican to get that shit blocked.

Opus Dei will make short work of these bitches.

Harbaigh IS catholic... isnt he?

I thought that was why Br John was going to leave the Ravens and come coach ND next year?

CINO. Real Catholics coach ND, BC, or one of the many lower level Catholic schools.

kid committed to Miami yesterday

hate to be "that guy" but I don't know why they ever even took his commitment. He measured out at 6'3.5" and 282 pounds. It looks like most of the weight he is carrying is bad weight and his frame doesn't look like it's built to hold much more. I really think that was just a place holder to try and stay in the game with his 5* teammate OG Teadrell Slaton, who is a freak of nature at a legit 6'4+ and 340+ pounds. Now that kid is the real deal.

Herbert was never going to play tackle at Michigan. He was too short, didn't have the body or the length. Was honestly glad he de-committed and opened up a spot. Only wanted him as long as it got Michigan his teammate Slaton.

Not really worried about OL too much going forward, as Michigan just hired Greg Frey away from Indiana. That guy was an excellent OL coach during his short stint at Michigan. He made chicken salad out of chicken shit when he got to Michigan with Rodriguez. I mean the OL depth was decimated that first year when they took over. He's done an excellent job at Indiana the past few years. He'll coach the OT's and Drevno will coach the interior linemen. More one on one individual time and development time for the OL's. I like it.
