Carter Dunaway, TE, who was Michigan's first commitment for the Class of 2017 in April, 2015, will be playing football for Princeton this fall. Dunaway played h.s. football for Brother Rice h.s. in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He "decommitted" this past Sept, seventeen months after his commitment.

In fact, Jack knew of his brother's medical aspirations and was actually hoping that Michigan football could help make that happen.
"I figure with Michigan being a great medical school, he could get four or five free years of education and then go into medical school wherever he chooses, not be as debt-ridden down the road," Jack Dunaway said. "I just thought about it that way. I wasn't really thinking about it from a football aspect but how much it could benefit him down the road, 40-50 years down the road.
"Football is going to happen but you're also getting an education that you can't get anywhere else in the country."
"I just look at it as a gateway," Carter Dunaway said. "I look at it as a way to get to where I want to be in life in a career. It's going to help me get a great education, learn a lot through the sport itself and the coaches, and get to wherever I want to be in life."
