Carter Dunaway, TE, who was Michigan's first commitment for the Class of 2017 in April, 2015, will be playing football for Princeton this fall. Dunaway played h.s. football for Brother Rice h.s. in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He "decommitted" this past Sept, seventeen months after his commitment.

Maize and Blue's Brothers: Jack and Carter Dunaway excited for Michigan football future (MLive, April, 2015)

Carter's brother, Jack, accepted a PWO with Michigan. Their dad, Craig, was a TE for Michigan from 1980-82. Jack spoke of Carter's aspirations in the commitment article above:

In fact, Jack knew of his brother's medical aspirations and was actually hoping that Michigan football could help make that happen.

"I figure with Michigan being a great medical school, he could get four or five free years of education and then go into medical school wherever he chooses, not be as debt-ridden down the road," Jack Dunaway said. "I just thought about it that way. I wasn't really thinking about it from a football aspect but how much it could benefit him down the road, 40-50 years down the road.

"Football is going to happen but you're also getting an education that you can't get anywhere else in the country."

"I just look at it as a gateway," Carter Dunaway said. "I look at it as a way to get to where I want to be in life in a career. It's going to help me get a great education, learn a lot through the sport itself and the coaches, and get to wherever I want to be in life."

Anybody have an unreasonable familiarity with michigan Stadium?

Thinking about getting tickets to watch UC play at scUM, but I'd prefer the top row if I'm gonna be stuck in a corner. Just can't find which is the top row anywhere haha

What I heard was:

"Anyone know what it's like to kiss a man? I've always wanted to kiss a man, but I haven't yet. Wondering what type of kiss is best? Should I go open mouth, or is using tongue too much"?"

I'm just trying to watch the Skunkbears lose, but if you think the thought of scUM losing to UC is relative to men kissing men, then perhaps that speaks about you more than it does me.

I don't think UC will be winning

As an ND/UC fan, I am obligated to assume that scUM will lose, and to then be heartbroken when it doesn't happen.

So what I heard was:

"As a fellow man, I'm going to pretend that it's a woman, and then act surprised that it's a man when I open my eyes."

The only award he'll win this year is most gender confused poster. All the others he's nominated for are just to make him feel included, a participation trophy.

Hey I'm not the one trying to be a Michigan man buddy.

My efforts to go watch UC burn the Big House down make me a michigan man?

I guess I should just rent my grandma's spare bedrooms to all the girls I'm not gonna bang and then start talking about dudes kissing dudes on an internet message boa...

Well, this is awkward.

I'm just giving you a hard time man, relax. I've never kissed a man, but I have an OSU friend who went to a game there and he said there's not a bad seat in the entire place. That's all I can tell you.

I went to the UM vs ND game years back when Forcie (sp?) Threw the TD at the end to win it. Sat right in that same corner end zone. I've been to dozens of college/pro athletic events in my life. That game is by far the lowest point of my in-person game viewing experiences, and life.

And if you had, this is a judgement-free zone.

but I have an OSU friend

Jk, now I'm judging you

Is your OSU friend gay? Because that would explain a lot.

I'm fine with it - this will blow up in Harbaugh's face eventually. Lot of ish to deal with to get A kid.

Harbaugh is a high-functioning psycho path. That can't be hidden forever.

Finebaum went in on Harbaugh, calling him an unethical "evil genius" for making this hire two years in advance in order to avoid the rule that's about to be in place. And I agree, it's bush-league (but smart, I guess, if you're going to blatantly skirt the rule based simply on timing) and transparent...

But I've got to give it to Harbaugh for grade-A trolling in his rebuttle:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Pete Finebaum, the unabashed SEC water carrier, really needs to get his facts straight. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/AlternativeFacts?src=hash">#AlternativeFacts</a></p>— Coach Harbaugh (@CoachJim4UM) <a href="https://twitter.com/CoachJim4UM/status/832417816489914368">February 17, 2017</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

How Finebaum, the guy who shills for the $EC, can go in on anybody about their ethics, is beyond me... I'm almost of a mind that he knows exactly how transparently hypocritical it is, and just wants to cause a raucous.

Finebaum plays the SEC cheerleader much like Lou talked us up when he was still with ESPN, neither can do no wrong in their eyes. The difference between each is that Lou was a lovable old guy who was rather respectable in his knowledge and criticisms. Finebaum comes off as an asshat and rarely shows respect.

Asiasi was rumored to be transferring. He appeared in four games for Michigan with two receptions totaling eighteen yards. They have three returning TEs with two more who redshirted last year.

Michigan now is at eighty-seven scholarships, counting Drake Johnson, RB, who has applied for a sixth year, Grant Newsome, OL, who had knee surgery, and Grant Perry, who is suspended. He was arraigned on four counts relating to an alleged sexual assault where Perry groped a woman between her legs.

Also, Dytarious Johnson, ILB from Prattville, Ala., who committed to Michigan in '16 but did not sign due to "transcript problems" and went to prep, has signed with Eastern Illinois and was an early enrollee. He had hoped to enroll at Michigan as an early enrollee with the Class of '17 in January.
