Seeing this talent makes the OU, 1/2 of PSU, and Iowa games even more confusing.

OSU's JR and SR classes are just run of the mill .90 classes - Top 6-10. Their Soph class was a solid Top 5. It's their freshman class and the '18 class they're putting together right now that will turn OSU into Bama... unless the firm of Wimbush & Jurkovec serves an injunction stopping OSU's hostile take over of the NCAA.

When OSU is on they scare me more than any team besides Bama. If we get stuck in a NY6 game that would be the worst possible matchup.

lol didn't herbie tell a recruit to basically shut his mouth when the kid tweeted some stuff about JT Barrett? Then he turns around and tries help recruit another kid to OSU? What a crass thing to do

Herbie has always and will always be an OSU homer. Part of it. Im convinced ESPN sets these things up to cause conflict and boost ratings. The Holtz/May thing was another example. OSU is one of the nations most hated and loved teams so it naturally causes friction.

Anything to screw over pOSU makes me happy. Announcement is coming at 11 but appears to be headed to Clemson

OSU's QB commit is a 3 star from TX who was a former Colorado State commit lol. Kid blew his knee out in the Texas State Semi Final game.

not sure that one is that big a loss. based on his recruit ranking maybe, but he was kinda really overrated imo.

Word on the street is he's applying for a hardship waiver to play right away at Florida. Doubt he gets it. Gainseville is pretty damn far from Fort Lauderdale.

Grimes would have had to obtain a written permission-to-contact from OSU's athletics director for Florida's coach or member of the athletics staff before the player or his parents can talk with one of them. So this has been in the works. OSU has signed two WRs for 2018.

Get rid of one tough recruiter in OH/KY/IN and they'll bring in Vince Marrow from UK. If he doesn't stay with the Stoops boys, his childhood friends.

Perfect fit, he's the recruiting director and TE coach. They just went different directions w/ Wilson who was the TE coach and Combs was the CB/Recruit Dir. Now all they'd need is a DB coach.

Hey! There's this underpaid DB Coach at ND looking to move up...

I agree. The move I question is why would Patricia leave the Pats for Detroit? Mo money, Mo money is all I can guess...

pOSU fans are citing this tweet below as proof that the previous tweet was a lie probably spread by some Penn State faithful blah blah blah.

Obviously both tweets can be true. He can still be expected to interview but NO interview has been currently setup.

I previously posted this in the Kyle Hamilton thread, but didn't want to derail that thread anymore than what I may already have.

Driskell called out Georgia and pOSU on twitter and stirred up a hornets nest of pissed off pOSU fans.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I'm just going to let the numbers speak for themselves. <a href="https://t.co/5zlZAuieJq">pic.twitter.com/5zlZAuieJq</a></p>— Bryan Driskell (@BGI_CoachD) <a href="https://twitter.com/BGI_CoachD/status/972938885167747072?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 11, 2018</a></blockquote>
<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

All kinds of excuses being made by pOSU fans including the fact that the study used Federal Graduation Rates as opposed to the Graduation Success Rate (GSR) that takes into account transfers and kids leaving early for the NFL. This is the standard M.O. of people who can't defend pOSU's terrible grad rates, so they try to deflect and distract.

Bad news for pOSU, you have terrible Grad rates for your football team regardless of their ethnicity. GSR for their football team was 69%. That is the worst in the Big 10. It's tied for #54 out of 65 teams from P5 Conferences and ND.

The most common excuse, "we send a ton of our players to the NFL early". Well guess what, Alabama does too. Their GSR was 84.

Yet they continue to "sell" to recruits that they excel in "life after football". A good reminder to the pOSU coaching staff, it's not a lie if you believe it.

Yeah, I have conflicting thoughts about this:

1. I love it being shoved in Ohio State's face because Urban Meyer lies about their academic prowess all the time. All the time. Numbers don't lie... you're (one of) the worst schools in your conference AND you don't even get kids their degrees.

2. I don't like that we have a reporter acting as an agent of ND's interests so explicitly on social media. That's a bad look, IMO. I've always ripped on Hopkins and Michigan reporters for doing exactly that.
