Excited to see what he has to say at his announcement today. He’s been on the all interview team and always gives a good one to reporters. The funniest anecdote related to that he was so enthusiastic and personable at his Texas visit that one of the On3 guys had to double check if they were actually in it when the assumption (and truth) was they weren’t

Uhhh so Loy said there’s long been some smoke, kicking around of reclassifying to 2022 here. Not to expect it necessarily but just a big FWIW

So is that meaning he could get into ND with reclassifying to 2022, or would that mean he is likely going elsewhere if he reclassifies because ND admissions wouldn’t accept that?

The day ND allows for a reclassification is the day they take a NIL deal from a company like say NBC
If a kid has the required coursework and they think he’s academically capable, why would they be so opposed? Half the incoming class is EE’ing at this point. What’s one more semester?

What's the difference?
This is Notre Dame
(historically) logic hasn't had to apply
This has never been done before, is my point.

Freeman, is actually, breaking down walls.

If we are able to get him in the 2022 class, I think it really gives credence to what some of the reporters have been saying about how important it is that Freeman has been making connections around campus. If he wants to get the administration out of its comfort zone making choices like this, they need to be comfortable with him and comfortable knowing he gets what ND is about and won't harm that.
