He apparently told Michigan (where he was once committed to play lacrosse) and Stanford to go pound sand, according to a recent profile in The Athletic. I’d always sweat USC for SoCal kids though. Especially if they get an ambitious new coach. Do they have a ‘21 QB yet?

USC has a stud ‘21 QB, and Michigan has McCarthy. Stanford would be idiots to not keep recruiting him, but that program is taking a nose dive and I really question why anyone would want to play there right now besides the education. We all rightfully shit on Long and this offense but Stanford’s has been abomination for a couple years now.

Tate and Clausen split when Charlie was canned.

One of my big flips on my opinion of Charlie happened when he held that press conference just after being fired where he sat between Golden and Jimmy and acted all smug when they announced they were going to the NFL. I had always felt sort of bad for him before that, but between that press conference and him proudly telling the "toasting a beer" story to every hack reporter really made me glad they slammed the door on him.

Yes and they all would've played together instead of Rudolph being the only other guy with Floyd (and even then only for 6 games or so).

Think how badly ND would have pounded on USC that year. Could have ended the losing streak to USC with an absolute bloodbath lmao

That offense was good enough to win a natty... too bad the defense was every bit as offensive.

Charlie Weis was an awful, awful coach. I can't stand when ND fans defend him. Every time I get frustrated with Kelly, I find it really important to consider how bad the team and program were when Weis was here and how much it took to get out of that abyss.

I tell you what, I sure wish Charlie Weis was our OC right now.

Schematic Advantage. That guy could score points.

I wouldn't say awful. His teams averaged 37 points per game. Unfortunately the defense gave up 39... But thats another story.

I loved the Weis playcalling but that's about it. He's just not a HC, an OC all the way.

I could go for that.

He had so much unrest within his staff. It was reported they fought all the time and CW just let it go on. Having co-DC's didn't help. Probably spent all his time concentrating on the offense to maintain that schematic advantage.

Charlie Weis had that Bobby Knight, "I'm a God" cockiness to him... Except, no natty's to go with it... Aka, just another Jersey boy.

Charlie had a good offensive scheme in 2005. Its 2019, I'm not sure it would still translate.

Who's gonna be the QB in '24? A 5th year Pyne or RS Soph... Brady Allen! ???

Cuz 6*Tyler is gone in 3.

I hope it's Brady Allen, have watched him play several times up the road. You know he's just up from Eville at Gibson Southern, right? I'm sure you do. Kid can spin it.

You forget sir whose QB system he is playing in. ND, where QB talent goes to wither and die.

Only in year 2 and beyond. Tyler just has to win the Heisman as a freshmen, lead ND to a national championship, then bolt for the XFL for a couple years.

He had 6 more td's (3 run, 3 pass) in a 52-51 shootout in the first round of the playoffs against the best team they have faced all season (not sure if that means anything about the competition).

Dude's a winner. Stay healthy.

Please baby Jesus, let this man wake up the echoes and restore us to our NC winning ways. Amen.

What a CRAZY game.

Bishop's was up 45-20 at half, 59-52 at the end of 3. Bishop's just ran out of gas. They play 28 guys 2 ways. El Camino is a 3000 student public school in Oceanside and have a roster that matches it. They play in DII playoffs because they "qualified" for it based on their meh record. Cali doing dumb things... imagine that?

Stats: 350 yards & 5 TD's on just 18 car - 286 yds / 3 TD's on 19-48

Good for No. 1 nationwide in YPG = 467 & TOTAL YDS = 6071. Responsible for 81 TD's. but #2 gets to play another game next week.

He's got 2 DI WR's Clarence Freeman and Clay Petry besides that, a tiny roster when playing a school that's MIC sized.

So if you suck long enough as a big school you get to play down? How the hell does that make sense? Absolutely screws the little schools. How many kids go to Bishop's?
