I just know Imes also picked up the ball after just getting past half court yesterday after getting flustered with a tight defense. Seniority at the point could really help.

And I want Burton to be the future at point but right now he just isn't ready for the big moments.

That is....not good.

Hopefully Coach Shrews can turn this season around, and at least make the season respectable or I think it would be fair of Sir Mohammed to start looking elsewhere. His offers are a very much lacking from the typical ACC power programs for a kid from Charlotte.
Very possible a UNC, Duke, or Virginia misses out of thier top targets and gives him a late look and try to turn his head.

I'm sure Coach Shrews will be hitting the portal hard this off season, because he knows things cannot look this bleak again next year.

I can't imagine he thought it would be this bad...
Coach Shrews needs to change a lot this off season to even make this a viable tournament team possibility for next year.
Best of luck to him, and I believe he can do it.
I'm just shocked by hot putrid this offensive basketball is. 309th out of 362 Division 1 programs is very, very bad.

I'm kind of impressed we are losing close games - I expected us to lose by much more than this. Makes me concerned about the quality of the lower half of the ACC.

Fran is 64 and not having a great season at Iowa, but it seems odd for Micah to waste one of his in season recruiting nights on a kid he has no chance at, so maybe he doesn't want to play for his Dad and Coach thinks there is something there.

Small offer list (according to 247) for a kid of his talent, but have to assume that is because most other programs believe its an open and shut case he is going to Iowa.

Interesting, I wonder why the offer list is so small then.
His mom went to ND, so i'm sure we have a shot here.

Seems like Burton just has to force something anytime we go on any type of run. It’s like he feels left out if he doesn’t shoot every possession.

I like how Shrewsberry has been vocal after games.

Too much of the same with the game last night- Burton is good, but he turns the ball over. Shrewsberry coming off the bench is a spark when he is good.

Our bigs have been disappointing all year- I think Shrews will get a bigs transfer in the off season.

This was to be expected this season, Shrews will get ND back.

I’ve never seen a team fall down and turn the ball over as much as they did last night. There must’ve been a sniper in the rafters.

Yeah, our roster needs a lot of work to get to the upper half of the ACC let alone a title and the bigs are not good. Unfortunately we only have one scholarship to give to a transfer at this time. The incoming freshman "big" Sondra is more of a stretch four type. 6-10 but his game is around the 3 point line.

Booth starts, but sits most of the game??

8th game they've lost in single digits.

Coach Shrews is what this program needs.

Was able to tune in for the second half on Saturday. Still have a fairly bullish outlook on the Shrews era. Burton showed the type of offensive efficiency I think we will see from him with much more consistency next year and he didn't even have a good shooting game. I'll be fully invested come year 3, but they may surprise a year early if Shrews can get some portal guys to phase out some of the worse pieces currently playing.

I took the family up to the game on Saturday. That’s not a great VT team, but we played a great 2H, hit some timely shots, and we stemmed a run by VT. Those are things we haven’t done in other games where we’ve played well in spurts. It was good to see us finish and not piss ourselves late.

GT sweep, UVA and VT are our four ACC wins. Honestly that is four more than I thought we would get in the ACC this year. We also should have beat NCST and BC x 2. For a team that lost to The Citadel by 20 (more than they lost to Marquette) I'm not complaining one bit.

I still don't like the feel of CBB where a third of every roster is transfers and the other third should have graduated two years ago.

At 9-16 great to see the team celebrate like they did.

ND won twice- the game and having a 5* recruit at the game.

Irish Bloke is right, when ND basketball starts to win it is gonna be fun.
