It doesn't help that their best recruit from last season, who also happens to be the son of the GM of the defending NBA champions, played a year and bailed to go to U of I. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for the program.Must be getting murdered in the NIL department. We are barely in the running for anyone decent.
Basketball seems to be much more wild than football with how kids go to the highest bidder.
Very. Not understanding this one quite yet. Looks like he can shoot the 3.another underwhelming transfer.
They need bodies with experience playing division 1 basketball. I don't think it's any more complicated than that.Very. Not understanding this one quite yet. Looks like he can shoot the 3.
Obviously young Shrews isn’t going anywhere. But if, let’s say, Davis has another promising year and outperforms, & an average season at best for the team, what’s not to say he doesn’t transfer to a better program for his last year? Burton too.Need to start getting butts in seats and Ws in the columns to see NIL for MBB improve I’d bet.
Which is possible because our young core should just improve and hopefully these additions can fill some gaps. Compete in the conference and maybe we’ll see a bit more help in the portal come our way.
He (Lubin) committed to UNC today.'Do Not Contact' tag?? He is going to reach out to schools I take it?
He got better towards the end of his freshman season, I thought he would've stayed at ND.
Shrews is still in on some key Indiana guys that haven't committed. With football season getting ready to start, Shrews will have an opportunity to get these guys on campus for a game.Still at zero commits for the 2025 class as some of our top targets have committed elsewhere. We are in on some high end guys and they usually commit later but I haven't seen where we lead on anyone in that category.
Hope we land some high school guys, don't want to be one of those programs that rely heavily on the portal.
