Smells like an attempt to try to squeeze some more NIL. Only 6 players in the NBA currently that are shorter than 6 ft. Only one was drafted.

Not saying that Burton couldn't do it. Just would seem like a risky play.

He explicitly says he wants tips for improvement. The process gets you good advice for skills you need to improve to get drafted later on.

IMO the easiest thing for him to develop is his upper body with a consistent S&C program. Cutting down the turnovers is the obvious, but much easier said than done

I've always thought Burtons game resembled Chris Paul in college. The one glaring difference is 3-pt shooting, and I'm sure he'll hear all about it when it gets his evaluation. A point guard that can't hit threes in the NBA today is pretty detrimental to the team.

I would assume he'll be back and he'll work hard on that jumper.

And he's not really a point guard, assists aren't that high. He's a miniature two guard, not a hot item in the NBA.

I guess I need to wait a few months to see what are rosters look like come July but it sure seems like our coaches (WBB and MBB) are more popular among the fans than the players.

I wouldn't mind seeing them go after Robby Avila, but I think he's following his coach to St. Louis.

I wouldn't take a chance on Burton after this season, his game has room to grow and right now it is not NBA ready.

It's unfortunate that Burton is apart of a rebuilding process at ND that may take longer than expected.

Burton will get there. Hopefully he stays at least 2 more years, but I wouldn't be surprised if he left after next season, this kid is going to get better & better in college.

Booth headed to Illinois. He picks them over Colorado State. Many thought he would spurn NiL and choose CSU to be closer to his father the GM of the Nuggets.

Tough to beat out Villanova with NIL from what I hear so this seems like a good win for Shrews. Any idea how much eligibility he has? My brief look is 2 years but I’m not certain.

Yep, one year. Ivy’s don’t get the COVID year which is beyond dumb.

He would have one year left regardless of where he played previously. The only effect that the COVID year had is that he couldn't use it in the IVY League since they don't allow 5th years. In essence he was forced to transfer out of the IVY League to use his final year.

20-21 COVID year season was canceled in the IVY League

Used a year of eligibility in
21-22
22-23
23-24

Gotcha. I was going off of the Paul Atkinson’s eligibility drama

Happy with the Allocco pick up, I think ND is good with the guard size on the roster (with Burton and the in-coming freshman), ND needs size- go after Gillis who would come from a winning program, and I'll take Carr from Wake Forest.

Early reports showed Duke as one of the favorites to get Gillis. This would be a big get for Shrews. Tough rebounder, good defender and deadly with the trey.
Duke it is. I was really hoping Shrews would get him.
