This tweet seemed to sum up many of the Wisconsin fans feelings on Essegian. Although many tweets from Wisconsin fans used as an opportunity to vent about their coach.

Wisconsin coaching issues well-documented as well…
Hearing Creighton, Indiana, Wake Forest, or Minnesota likely landing spot

Sounds like a return to ND is in the cards, but would be quite a bummer to lose him.

Well that’s pretty damn disappointing. Hopefully he comes back but man I am not a fan of this transfer portal crap. I thought the point of college sports was to build teams/kids better through training. It’s like what’s the point of even training these kids and having them learning our plays to have them just transfer after a year.

He follows Shrew to ND after being committed to Penn ST and then he leaves after a year? Makes no sense

Especially since his dad made a ton of money and still is. Doubt if he's leaving just to get a bump up in "salary". Maybe Shrews just needs to show him how much better the system will be next year. Its not like we recruited over him.

If it’s like recruits who decommit but say they are still considering their original school, he’s probably gone.

Maybe they locked Burton down with some NIL.

To be honest, I’d lock down the entire freshman class with NIL if they are able to.

One time I was hospitalized over a long weekend with DKA and pancreatitis in the ol’ ICU 6 months later got the blood sugar down in the human range. Wife bought me a champion of diabetes trophy. 🏆 how bad can a few extra trophies be?

Tae’s older brother is pretty good…

Playing in NIT Championship right now & made the winning bucket.

Has Covid eligibility. Would be a nice scoring scholarship in place of Booth.
Go after two bigs in transfer portal w/ Dre Davis. I can only dream…

Bring him home Shrews

Sucks to hear about Carey Booth, he was getting better late in the season and he could've been a key piece to next year's team.

IMO, they both have unique traits in playing bigger than they are. Long legs to take that extra step in the paint. Dre has it more figured out, but Tae will get there.
I expect Tae to have a huge year as a junior but adding Dre could make this team really really good.
Tae has been playing a 4 when he is more efficient as a 3. Dre could play the 2.
Still need a big.

Smells like an attempt to try to squeeze some more NIL. Only 6 players in the NBA currently that are shorter than 6 ft. Only one was drafted.

Not saying that Burton couldn't do it. Just would seem like a risky play.
