What's weird is that this announcement was actually supposed to come a few days ago and I have no idea why it keeps being delayed. Methinks they were trying to find a way to accommodate some big money donors // season ticket holders?

Doesn't really say how they determined who gets to go. Students and donors is all I'm seeing. Does that mean regular season ticket holders are a no go?

I have been looking but haven’t seen anything yet on their ticket plan. I am not totally sure but I would bet highest IPTAY donors get preference. I also don’t know if they are allowing one donor one game only. I do know if you are a season ticket holder and not given tickets to the games they can get refunds but the school is really pushing for season ticket holders who can get a refund on some of all of the tickets to take this one for the team and not ask for refunds.

yes ive seen multiple things from ND that say we can put these towards next years tickets or you can give them to the Rockne Fund.

I think a Clemson is basically saying they want you to not ask for refunds for this season only and just eat the loss. Clemsons stance is all that money leaving the school will hurt

15 days...crazy. Don't know if my relative lack of excitement is mostly down to the lack of practice updates or the feeling in my stomach that the whole thing could get called off any minute (even if I think that's becoming less and less likely). Once game week comes around though, I might be counting down the minutes.

Guys... we have a game in 15 days!

Definitely doesn't feel real.

Two thoughts:

1) I suspect early season football will be incredibly sloppy.

2) If there was ever a year for ND to win a championship, this is it. It's our fate to win a natty and then have to listen to scUM and U$C fans talk about how it doesn't count for the rest of eternity.

I. perhaps in the minority, am really fired up (as much as an 80 year old can get fired up anymore) that I'll get to see The Big Boys on both sides of the line lumber out there and Hulk it up.

And ... I've had only three "eye-test" moments during the Kelly years. One was an utter, still inexplicable to me, failure --- that WR with the great burst who couldn't ever get out of the doghouse and liked strippers. The other was Ian Book. Took some grief for early remarks about that. And the third is Kyren Williams. I REALLY want to see this guy rock and roll. So, the TV coverage better be good here at the retirement village.

.... snap of the ball. A huge wave of Golden Helmets sweeps forward. Book hands it to Williams. He runs behind Big Tommy who is pancaking his guy. Kyren hits the hole hard and on time. 15 yards downfield the two safeties breathe a sigh of relief that they tripped him up before he danced in the endzone. For them, and the DLine, it's going to be a long day. Book and Rees are smiling.

We'll need to modify the "Doesn't Matter, Had Sex" meme but for championships.

What does that accomplish? They’re still not playing for major bowl games or the CFP if they start at Thanksgiving? And do they really think they’re going to play games in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Michigan in December and January?

El oh fucking el.

It's like you hit the lottery, but instead of thinking about the jackpot you keep thinking about all of the taxes Uncle Sam is taking.

Guessing we can expect another spike late next week just as the team are flying to NC?

Right, I just shouted to my wife from the office, "we got football in two weeks!". And then I realized, we still have to get through the next two weeks, lol.

This is the only reason I am tempering my enthusiam. Really hope we get to play.

Vikings played at TCF for a couple years and managed...Green Bay plays outside and manages.

Iowa wouldn't be too bad. Once you get south of Sioux Falls, SD...it doesn't get too bad generally..

I wouldn't WANT to play outside
