This is going to sound a lot more testy than I really mean it to, but don't call anyone who doubts we have a path to the CFP "borderline morons" then lay out a path where UGA goes undefeated against UF, LSU, Auburn, and TA&M, then likely Bama for the SEC Championship, ignoring the fact that two SEC schools likely get in along with B1G and Big 12 likely having a 12-1 champ minimum. They aren't going to take 11-1 ND for the second year in a row and leave out 3 conferences with a one loss conference champ after we lost our biggest challenge, IMO.
And I'm just going to pretend I didn't read that you don't think Bama is a top 4 team.
I keep reading around here that people think Book is inevitably gone after this season, but I really haven't seen or heard anything about him for sure bolting for the draft. On top of that (and I love Book, for the record) he has been far from crisp this season. I wouldn't be shocked if he stays to build draft stock, unless he doesn't want a future at the next level because this years' QB class is LOADED. Keep in mind a very solid chunk of his yardage against UNM was inflated by the shovel passes that are essentially running plays, and a 5 yard pass to the flats that McKinley went ape shi* on.
Crawford already said that he doesn't want to play a 6th season and he is done with football after this year.
And if Gilman stays, I'd be shocked and elated. He was graded by PFF as one of, if not the, best safeties in CFB last year and he is making plays again this year. Hope he does, but that's a lot of money to turn down. I wonder how his game will be perceived by teams at the next level because he can be burned in coverage once in a while, but his nose for the ball and capability to make disruptive plays is incredible.
