Who said he was a bust?

I think the point was that he was on the verge of getting that label. After his Frosh year, a lot of people expected him to really break out in a big way both his Soph and Jr years. He never really became a "star".

He was a consensus 3* star receiver coming out of high school. I think he met and possibly exceeded expectations.

I'd say so, 100+ receptions and 1400+ yards, that's pretty good playing second fiddle to one of the best ND WR's (statistically speaking) ever.

Contributed as a true frosh and played a role in us going 12-0. 2-year starter and turned into one of the leaders on the team. Good ambassador for the program, will graduate and be drafted. Pretty perfect recruit/player.

Chris is probably my favorite wide out on the team since TJ Jones. I really wish we had him another year, but it's time for him to go out and surprise everyone in the NFL.

Good for him, I bet his testing numbers will be pretty good.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was a combine star. He was an All American level track star. He had the 2nd best triple jump in the country along with a 10.5 100 and even high jumped 6-10. It wouldn't surprise me if he goes full Heyward-Bey on 'em.

I can't wait to see him and Will go at it in the 40 for bragging rights.

Breezy has better hands. DHB dropped most everything thrown his was when he was with the Colts.

According to reports his stock has gone up due to his performance this week.

Hopefully he can be a late call up to the senior bowl game.

STRENGTHS

Steady and consistent over last three seasons. Has the ability to go up and get the ball and can make the occasional circus catch over smaller corners. Decent quickness off the snap and into his routes. Has build*up speed to sneak down the field against Cover*-2 looks. Runs crisp, quality routes and would benefit even more with better initial push to create panic in cornerbacks. Not overly physical as blocker, but does his job.

WEAKNESSES

Thin frame. Will struggle against strong press*man corners. Hands are a little inconsistent. Has ability to make tough catches, but focus drops are a concern. Hand strength may be a culprit. Tends to get open due to design over separation quickness. Lacks fluidity in his adjustment to the downfield throw. Despite track in his background, didn't post explosive play count expected.

If there was one thing I thought Breezy excelled at it was blocking. I think that's a knock on his weight, not technique and or execution.

I think we'll all agree he doesn't play as fast as he is but he could still have a breakout combine. He ran a 10.51 100 in high school. He was world class for his age in the triple jump. If he does light it up, it won't surprise me.

Yeah, as mentioned above, his broad jump is great for certain.

Aside from one random freak performance last year the record is 11 feet, 7 inches and Chris can do 11.25
