Well Zach sure came up big there! Helluva win, really gutted this one out. Hopefully this sparks the team and go on a nice little run in conference play.

After college football college basketball is easily my next favorite thing to watch. Love beating Duke.

Great win by the Irish last night!

Last night's game reminded me of last year's team.

Grant and Connaughton are tough to replace and I hope Jackson can build off this win and start to lead like Grant & Connaughton.

Bonzie Colson also had a heck of a game.

What a ridiculous stat. ND has won 4 out of the last 5 games vs. Duke!

Offensive efficiency paid off well last year - lets see if these frosh can keep bringing some D.

There has to be a replay of this game somewhere? I really want to see this as I have been to two Duke games this year and am intrigued by the match ups.

If the wife wasn't working I would have had a seat in the grad student section - and then I didn't even get to watch a minute of the game on TV either thanks to sick kids and various family BS getting in the way. Holy hell that would have been glorious.

Anyone know how serious a chance we have with Thon Maker? We're in his top five and he's planning a visit sometime.

Got some momentum building and should be able to keep it up against BC this weekend.

Problem here is that he's said he cares a lot about who comes back- ie Jackson. But if Jackson comes back we no longer have a slot for him. Not sure how we're planning on getting around that one haha.

That doesn't make much sense. Why would a 7'0" center care about a 6'1" point guard's decision? Lol its not like Thon will be competing against DJ for playing time. Thon would almost be guaranteed to be a starter. Demetrius is probably gone after this year anyway.

No he wants DJ to stay. That will create great opportunities for him because of how good a passer DJ is (think how much Grant helped Auguste last year) and also because that will make it more likely the team goes on a tourney run in his only year at the school.

DJ out against cuse this Thursday. If we play the way we did against BC then I don't see us having a problem. Vasturia looked pretty comfortable at the point and it seemed like he was more aggressive actually. It's almost feels like it could be a blessing in disguise cause now rex is gonna get a lot of time and with his defense that can only help us and he's got some game on the offensive side. DJ could use some rest but wish it wasn't in this kinda of way

Whaaaa?

You think missing one of the most electric drivers in CBB won't cost us against a defense that forces you to attack from the perimeter to get anything more than a deep 3? No way SV can do that, plus we need him to be shooting the 3's against Cuse. I like what Rex did on Sat, but that is asking a lot from him.

Not saying there is no way they won't win, but it will be a large uphill battle. Remember, BC really sucks.

Yeah, DJ out is a big hit. Rex not getting a chance is a testament to Brey's coaching style never making room for quality bench play. Especially defensively I think it helps everyone to be fresh with a regular rotation versus only using the bench when forced through adversity.

I agree it's gonna be a very hard game. I'm not saying losing dj won't hurt cause obviously it will since everything runs through him. Cuse isn't the same team from years past so I'm not as scared but I'm still scared.

Also we are ranked 25 now

Down 36-21 with 3:36 left in the 1st half at Syracuse.

Badly miss DJ, can't hit our shots, can't stop turning it over, and can't defend. Pretty lucky to only be down 15 right now, would love to cut it to 10 by half.

44-27. Vasturia hit a half-court buzzer beater to end the half and stop the bleeding. 9 turnovers. Very sloppy half and we can't seem to catch a break or finish near the basket.

Cuse is our kryptonite. I'm no analyst but seems to me when you run a dribble-drive, PnR offense, the zone will kill you. Also Cooney simply cannot miss against us.
