Jerry Tillery! #28 overall!
So happy for Jerry Tillery. Jerry has been linked to the Chargers for a while now. Congratulations Jerry Tillery on being selected in the first round of the NFL draft!
Hopefully in 2020 draft Notre Dame has one or two defensive linemen get drafted in the first.

Very proud of Zac Taylor for sticking to the Bengals draft board... best player available among OL and LB.
With White and Bush off the board, they took the best OL in the draft. Smart pick, didn’t over-think it.
Had Jonah Williams been gone, then maybe you blow it up and take Haskins.
However, Haskins wouldn’t fix the OL or LB units, both of witch are much bigger issues than Andy Dalton currently.
Now, the question is if Jawaan Taylor or Cody Ford fall to them at pick 10 in the second round, do they complete the OL rebuild at risk of screwing the LB unit, or do they reach for a serviceable LB?
This deal has several features similar to other contracts Chiefs general manager Brett Veach has negotiated thus far. The signing bonus is relatively low, and the guaranteed money is all in the first three years of the five-year contract; Clark could be cut after the 2021 season, leaving just $7.6 million in dead money and $37 million in cap savings over the last two years of the deal.
A lot of really quality skill guys left on the board here. No wideouts and only one corner taken so far. I don't blame the Colts for trading for another second round.
LOVED the Steelers drafting Bush and not giving up a whole lot for him. They knew who they wanted and they went and got him.
They reached IMO. Gave up a lot of draft capital to get a sub 6' LB. There is too much talent out there to give up a 2nd this year and 3rd next to make this pick.
Oh, and he's from Meatchicken. They'll need to disinfect the locker room each time he walks out.

Great for Tillery, a true Notre Dame man. I wish him a career that is both prosperous and short enough that he can move on to what will likely be a very interesting life with his health intact.
Also, who was the last defensive player ND had taken in the 1st round. Teo, Tuitt and Jaylon were all early second. Am I missing someone, or has it kind of been awhile?
The Chargers defensive front is now even more scary. Insane.

Who we taking in the 2nd and 3rd Camper?
DB, LB or maybe OT... hard to forecast a single player with a mid 2nd or 3rd rounder but some names I think they would love to have available at either spot:
Cody Ford
Jawaan Taylor
Greedy Williams
Rock Ya-Sin
Gardner-Johnson
Greg Little
Julian Love
Taylor Rapp
Mack Wilson
Coney
They might even get crazy and go DK Metcalf
A couple of mocks see us taking the CB from Sparty. But they also thought Greedy would be gone already. is Greedy that much better that they may make a play to draft up to get Greedy? I think both have comparable size. But Sparty always puts out good CBs and should we just be patient and wait for him?
He’s not a reach. He wouldn’t have been there if Pittsburgh had stayed at 20 and I’m fairly certain the Bengals would’ve taken Bush at 11 if he was there. They still have 2 picks on day 2; their normal 3rd round and a very early 3rd pick from acquired from OAK. The 2020 3rd round pick they gave up is fine because they’ll be getting a 3rd round comp pick next year for Bell.
The “he’s short” thing doesn’t make much sense to me. He tested out just as good as Devin White. Linebackers rarely use their height to make plays anyway.
Bottom line, Pittsburgh needed to fix their situation at inside linebacker. They did it with someone who has GREAT sideline-to-sideline speed and that is needed in toady’s NFL. One GM for a team had Bush at #2 on their big board. It would’ve been a risky move to wait until a later round to get a LB. They tried to trade up last year, they failed, and it showed on Sundays.
