Bought a Stone Cali-Belgique IPA and Three Floyd's Alpha Klaus today.

Excited about the stone as I'm a big fan of Hoegaarden (and similar Belgian beers) and stone IPA's so should be a nice mix.

Let me know what you think of the Alpha Klaus. Picked some up when i was at 3F but havent had it yet.

I did not know that. I hope that their quality doesn't drop.

I 100% agree with you about Karl Strauss and about Big Barrel IIPA (by far their best beer).

I somewhat disagree with you about 12.25. I think it is much better than 10.31 but not as complex as some of the previous releases.

Lastly you need to post more often in this thread.

I may be wrong about Halloween. I only had one bomber and it was during the Clemson game when I was pounding some other swills. I defer to your opinion... I rarely disagree with it when it comes to SoCal varieties.

I'll try to post more on this thread.... I've been drinking a lot of wine lately and have been off the hop as of late. We have a new GM at the BWW and he's a hop head so the brew is back.

I had last of a keg last week at Slater's 50/50. Proud to say that I've been drinking Honker's Ale since waaaaaaay before the beervolution started. 312 Pride!

What did you think? IMO it's one of their most underwhelming offerings.

Totally agree. Oddly, I have a few friends that like it even more than Zombie Dust, Sabertooth Berzerker and Gumballhead. Which are my three favorites from Three Floyds. I think it's one of those beers that if you like it, you reeeeaaallly like it.

But people with refined, sophisticated palettes like you and myself... well... we prefer to pass.

Re Xocoveza, I liked it. Spicy, dark chocolate, coffee, with a pepper finish.

It's hard to get in the east or I'd get more.

Interesting. It is starting to get colder around these parts so I may pick some up. I tend to like dark thick beers when the temps go down. And your description sounds like this may pair great with a nice cigar. Thanks for the intel.

Finishing up some red that I already had open. Very much down to follow it up with some white I have too.

A cheap Montepulciano d'Abruzzo with pizza. Nice.

So I was offered the opportunity to buy a Bourbon County stout today. None of the extra special ones, but I figured I might as well get one since I haven't had it before.

I just drank Boneyard Hop Venom, two shots of Bullit Bourbon, and a beautiful cider.

I sang Allentown on Karaoke, smoked Obama Kush with a couple trannys and went home.

Life in Portland is awesome.

I thought it was just okay. Least favorite of those I've had of theirs, but the other two are Zombie Dust and Alpha King, so you can't go by that. There are a lot of beers I'd pick before Yum Yum. (When I get to Indiana, I look for Three Floyds, and that's what they had this past November, though I did score some AK, too.)

I do have some Robert the Bruce, but I haven't tried it yet.

I also picked up some Gumball Head, but haven't popped it yet. Glad to hear you like it so much.

Yep, I was there to help my brother move. As a way of saying thanks they took me to Surly. Fair trade I think.

Founders Breakfast Stout while making a soup. It has gotten pretty cold for Southern Arizona with a high today of 45 and a low tonight of 28. Tomorrow's low is suppose to be 25.

More from one of my favorite local breweries: StrangeLand Altbier.
A glass of the leftover Montepulciano.
Some inexpensive but oh so delcious and fruit-forward Nero d'Avola
