I'm in camp: it's college football, I'm watching it regardless.

But, I see quality in scUM/UW (not sure hwy you wouldn't watch it that's a decent match up imo)and OU/UGA, and intrigue in UCF/Wazzu, even without Milton.

Iowa/LSU would be hard to watch. 'Cuse and Kentucky is like a battle of this years' fools-gold

I'm only watching scUM play if it is against my beloved Irish.

no way I'm watching them otherwise - just me brother; I hate 'em.

Yea, I like the UW/UM potential matchup. Both are good defensively and both have had their struggles offensively. Plus, it's just another chance to see Harbaugh get outcoached. That never gets old.

Haven't read one way or the other on this.

When I heard the news of him declaring, I thought he sure did have an underwhelming year for all the hype. So, I looked up his stats. He ended up with 6.5 TFL's and 3.5 sacks on the season. Ha. We have 4 DL with similar to better production and Daelin Hayes is one of them.

My predictions/ playoff wish
1 Bama vs 4 OU
2 Clemson vs 3 ND

I wanna see OU vs Bama so bad, that game would be delicious.

Question to the board- when you apply for postseason tickets (as a season ticket holder), is it like the season ticket lottery and you are not guaranteed tickets p or if you apply you get them and you just don't have a choice where you sit.

(I applied for both Orange and Cotton)

2018 College Football Playoff

Bama was 17.5 point favorites against OU in the Sugar Bowl a few years ago, and OU took it to them.

Blame Bama not being motivated, not caring, etc., but it isnt out of the realm of possibility OU can beat them this time around.

I will die on this hill December 29th!!!

Danny Kannell with the coldest of takes. Apparently he is blind to the fact the there has been a team in the playoff the last 3 years that didn't make their conference championship.

Man I need to stay off twitter, the stupidity of some of these fans anger me. Clearly Kanell needed some click bait and posted this stupidity with out checking into any of the other teams schedules or seasons.

LOL. If you think about it, the ND starters probably played more than the Bama starters throughout the 12 game season plus their CCG, so technically we ALREADY put it on the line there you washed up never was.

If Alabama beats Georgia and Clemson, OSU, and OU all win it's:

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Oklahoma

If Georgia beats Alabama and Clemson, OSU, and OU win it's:

1. Clemson
2. Georgia
3. Notre Dame
4. Oklahoma

Ohio State doesn't deserve to be in the play-offs unless they are the only Power 5 1-loss team remaining, which means Oklahoma must lose, Georgia must lose, and UCF must lose. How can you ignore that OSU lost to Purdue and nearly got beaten by Maryland, Penn State, etc.? An unbeaten UCF should make the play-offs before this year's OSU team.

I can't see any way that the committee takes a 1 loss OU or O$U team over the current #1 team that ends with one loss (against the current #5 team). I think that it would be:

1. Clemson
2. Georgia
3. Notre Dame
4. Bama

Agree......If Bama loses they will still be in at #3 or #4. They only way they get left out is if they lose by 10 or more and OU or OSU win by 20+.

I doubt they even get left out at that point too, because then their lone loss would be to the SEC champ while tOSU's loss was still 4+ scores to Purdue, and OU's lone loss was to the Big 12 runner up. I'm under no illusions that Alabama gets left out of the playoff, they're going to be in pretty much without question.

What frustrates me about letting Bama or Georgia stay in the playoff if they lose is that if they have a rematch and the other team wins, what does that prove? That they should play a third time? It's one thing if Bama beat Georgia close week 3 in Tuscaloosa and then Georgia beats them in the final on a neutral field. That tells me Georgia is the better team.

But when you play the same team on a neutral field within a month that solves nothing. Loser of this game should be out...

John Feinstein said on the radio this morning, if GA beats Bama the committee won't have them play again based on voting. They would put Bama vs Clemson and GA. vs ND. The sportscasters then said in that scenario, GA would be a 10+ favorite over ND on neutral field. I'm waiting on the podcast to be posted so I can link it.

All of this talk about how much of a favorite certain teams would be over other teams strikes me as incredibly myopic. The metrics don't say Georgia or Clemson are "10+" points better than Notre Dame. They also don't say Alabama is a 13 point favorite over Georgia... which is what the line is this weekend.

Reminds me of how Ohio State was a TD favorite over Florida in Urban's first championship... and the Gators scored 34 in the first half, the Buckeyes scored 1 offensive TD all game. Woups. No one saw that coming. Miami was almost a 2 TD favorite over Ohio State back in the day with one of the most loaded rosters of all time... lost in OT on a bad call.

Just play the games. ND is a big step below Bama, and a slightly smaller step below Clemson/Georgia. The reason why is those teams have way more overall NFL talent on both sides of the ball. There is nothing anyone can say to convince me Oklahoma is a legit contender, or that the Ohio State we saw over the first 11 weeks of the season is for real. But stuff gets weird when you have a month to prepare and a style clash.

Or Clemson beating OSU 31-0, in 2016. Funny how everyone talks about ND's beatdown at the hands of Bama in 12' and how we didn't belong. But Oklahoma and OSU get their doors blown off by Clemson and it's forgotten about the next week.

Oklahoma and OSU have their share of big postseason wins on the national stage recently. Our biggest recent postseason win was...LSU last year?

That's because ND shits the bed every time they're in a significant bowl game. Not to mention both OSU and Clemson have won a title (more in OSU's case) in the last 3 decades. Respect is earned. We need to earn it. What better time than now?

Oklahoma and OSU aren't Notre Dame, heroes get remembered, legends never die. Nobody draws out the haters like ND.

Has anyone purchased RSVPs (rights to buy tickets at face) to the semifinals or title game via the CFP website? I bought 2 for the semifinals after we beat Stanford but shortly after realized I had a wedding that day... Assuming all goes according to plan, and ND is in, I’m trying to figure out the best way to unload the tix. Buy the tickets then sell them in secondary market vs. selling the RSVPs via the CFP marketplace (albeit with a 20% transaction)? I’m also curious how much tickets, to at least the semifinal, would go for, given that face value is $175.

Danny Is a SiriusXM scoob and they should rethink some of their personalities. He always has insight into everyone but ND. He's just a hater and Florida is its own silly mess.
