I miss all the "Fire Brey" post from a few years ago.

With back to back Elite Eights and a 9-0 start this year, NDMBB is either at its all time high point, or just behind the mid-70s teams. Fun team to watch! Brey having confidence in his bench is a nice change.

ND doesn't need to win either of these games in order to keep the confidence high. Let's just keep it within a reasonable differential. Villanova and Purdue are great teams.

A win vs either, I could honestly see another Elite 8 appearance.

Women knock off UConn tonight and men take down 'Nova Saturday it might be the biggest four day stretch in ND hoops history!

Either way, it will be a lot of fun and a great early season test for these guys to build off of.

Brey is starting to come close, but I would say behind............Digger had some big time players back then.

There was probably 50,000 NBA points on those '79 and '80 teams. On one hand, it was the most talented team in ND history and on the other hand maybe the most disappointing(?)

But losing 6-7 games a year when UCLA, DePaul, Marquette, Indiana, Kentucky, NC St, Maryland, Virginia, San Francisco, Nova are on the schedule ain't too shabby. I get confused trying to remember how many #1's I saw them beat at the ACC. There's a stat out there that goes something like... ND played the #1 ranked team, current NC or eventual NC 10x in 5 years. They used to have marquee Sunday games which we could always go to because we didn't have practice. we even had 6am practices before class sometimes so we could catch a DePaul or Marquette during the week.As a basketball player, living 30 minutes from the ACC was money from '73-'84.

We are lucky to have Brey.. What he does with such minimal talent is insane.. Rarely does he get legit NBA Star talent and he still does nothing but win games and reloads
