How many years will it take for the refs to learn what is and isn't a charge?

If we can get in the passing lanes like this against the big boys we can make some noise in the ACC for sure.

I was skeptical of this team because of the lack of size and athleticism... but they seem like an old school "score the hell out of the ball" Brey team that might be fun to watch and win some games even if they don't defend particularly well.

The one later in the game I see is the Irish is slow getting back down the court.

Big win against a pretty athletic, undefeated team. 4-0!

Northwestern's style of play fits more closely with ND's. Wildcats played Butler tough. Turnovers may be the difference in the championship game.

Another 40 point half for Notre Dame. #1 offensive efficiency in the early season. Mike Brey really is an amazing offensive coach... this team scores at will with freaking Geben and Farrell as starters. I am shocked that we aren't terrible... obviously, we will struggle later in the season, I just expected us to be very bad and struggle to get to .500 this year.

I really believe that if we can do more as an institution to be competitive in facilities, etc. and help him attract top recruits that he could be consistently successful.

Not only is Brey a good offensive coach, but he's tremendous a developing talent; Vasturia, Beachem, Grant, Pat C, Cooley, Abromitis are some great examples. Farrell is his new live example of how good he is at developing his players.

We all knew what we would be getting from Beachem, Vasturia, and Colson this season. We just didn't know what we would be getting from Farrell and Geben. Credit Farrell for working his ass off this summer; he has been a great replacement for DJ. He has been, by far, the biggest surprise this season. Geben just seems to be kinda holding his own.

I'm not really sure why I'm surprised that Farrell is doing good. Brey always seems to have a couple good white guys lol.

Brian Kelly could learn a thing or two from Brey and McGraw about player development and recruiting.

Crazy to think that if we take care of the next 4 games and end up being 9-0. That would be best start under Brey in his 17 years

I'm completely shocked we are 5-0. Congratulations to Brey, I doubted him as a coach but he has really been coaching well the last 3 years. I loved the way he subbed even just to get little breathers for his starters in the 2nd half. Hopefully he will continue that trend as the year goes on. I didn't think I'd be excited for ND basketball this year but I certainly am now.

Great win tonight. Lots of positives to take away and it will be fun to watch this team grow. I think vj needs to play less minutes as he looked spent after the first half. He may be able to get you 28-32 mins per game but we need his explosiveness on offense and I am not sure he can do that after 36 minutes.

Brey has been a really good coach for a lot longer than 3 years. It is just the last couple years people have been more appreciative as the tourney wins finally came. Brey is a great coach, good man, and wonderful representative of the university. We could not ask for a coach that is a better fit to lead the program. I hope everyone appreciates how fortunate we are to have Brey, especially when considering that we have a jerk who can't coach roaming the sidelines on Saturdays.
