Bold words but even the possibility makes me bristle with excitement. I'm ready to see some Floyd, Tate and Fuller at the same time. We need the speed, the shifty and the size and I think we have at least two of each for those categories.

Add in some TEs that should continue to develop and whoever is named starting QB, will have more options than they can exhaust as they go through their progressions.

Just need Stanley back and some good health for the team.

We've reached out to 2015 OL Pat Allen per Adam Friedman of rivals. Will offer if transcripts are in order. Probably a long shot with Tenn. and UGA as the front runners. Recently de-committed from UGA.

Actually they went further and said Allen is interested in ND. If he comes on his own dime then we definitely have a shot. Very good prospect. Someone on here told me we weren't looking for another OL. We absolutely are and have been for a couple weeks since Tillery was moved to DL prospect.

No, I said nothing would come of it.

EDIT: Maybe I'm wrong and they're really going balls to the wall for someone. I clarified my other posts because in re-reading it was phrased poorly. I knew they had checked on Jurkovic and Allen and was told 1) Jurkovic didn't have any interest with us coming in so late and 2) Allen was unlikely to ever make a visit and 3) we weren't going to go dumpster diving for another OL if someone we really liked didn't pop up and were just doing our due diligence checking on guys.

I've said it in other threads, but completely passing on Petitbon is my "trust the staff" moment of this recruiting cycle. Good enough for Bama, but he didn't even get an offer from us despite having family ties to the team. Kirkland was another head scratcher, but if Coney stays then I get that one.

As to Pettibone (sp) at the time they thought they had the three guys they wanted. But now Tillery is starting out on DL and they are specifically looking for tackles not interior linemen due to possible medical issues with Bivin and McGovern.

LOL at the idea of a 5 prospect coming to Notre Dame with contact being made this late in the game. I would shrug and say "crazier things have happened..." but that would be incorrect haha

I think a lot of the names that Loy is reporting are like the DE/DT from Tennessee last year, Michael Sawyer. They are def interested but nothing will happen bc its simply too late with lack of OV's left or strength of relationships.

I think Carlisle or Prosise would switch to RB before Sanders.

I agree! I like how thick and fast Prosise is. On the jet sweep he looked like a natural RB I thought. I like Carlisle staying in the slot. We need bulk in the backfield. We have plenty of good quickness and shiftiness in the slot and WR positions.
