This from TJ regarding Austin Bryant and potential WDE targets. Interesting that the staff thinks we have a shot with a few of these guys.

TJ,

Staff expects Bryant to make an OV in the fall based on feedback from him before leaving. Obviously, have to hope he doesn't pop somewhere locally before then.

Bryant is projected at RushDE, though he has the frame to fill out to the strongside a few years down the line as necessary.

Guys like Lucier-South, Gustin, Wallace, Patrick and possibly Butcher are also RushDEs with whom we do or may have a shot.

Look at the picture. Just from being recruited by Longo, Lebron's put on a belly.

Classic Longo.

Interesting twist. Deondre Francois calls Oregon his Leader. Here's a question by an II poster and TJ's response.

TJ,
As I suggested a day or two ago, remaining '15 QB recruiting will be interesting right through to NSD -- for a number of top guys and related involved programs, including us.

A number of dominoes still to fall, and very possibly (if not likely) fall some more as NSD approaches, once seasons and circumstances have played out.

Not disappointed in the least. Would've liked to get some of these five stars but after our last season, I think our coaching staff has been killing it without a fresh product. Wait till the season commences, we'll see how hard it is it finish this class and I like every prospect we have.

I don't know if "disappointed" is the word I would use. I like all the players we have so far but most of them are high potential guys rather than sure things. If most of them pan out then we are in great shape in 2-3 years but if they don't this could be a disaster.

Since its the beginning of July its almost impossible to be disappointed. The words I would use are off the pace. I think its pretty obvious that we've lost some big recruiting battles as of late that sting but its not even close to over. If we add Boykin, Bilal, Coney, impact DE, Gallimore, Ross/Reid, ESB/Newsome, this class looks a lot different. So disappointed wouldn't be the word choice for me but we are behind the 8 ball for what the staff was looking for.

We need to start winning games first. Urban can tell them national championships and they can legitimately believe that.

I feel like we're recruiting very well considering the product were putting on the field.

As is, were on track to finish our second straight year without a 5-star player, and OSU picked up two today.

Win 11 games the next two years and it'll pay off. If not, we better hope these under the radar guys pan out.

Edit: I think quenton Nelson was a 5-star by at least one service.

I agree with your view. Part of me understands what Philly is saying also, as I was hoping for more of the those elite prospects with this class, especially it being a smaller class size, but there is still some room.

I just keep putting my faith in the staff to develop these young men and put them in the right positions to be successful on and off the field.

Only way I would be disappointed with this class is if we don't get an elite rb. Other than that we are fine and have some elite players onboard with:
1. Tillery
2. Crawford
3. Hoge
4. Boykin....today?

If we win we will get or flip our share to cap off the class.

What we have now are are great kids that want to be here and will have no problems getting the job done.

I strongly speculate several of our 3 stars will end up 4 stars for those that care...I much prefer this over 5 stars that end up 4 stars...anyway Kelly and staff are fantastic at developing players.

I truly cannot wait til the season starts and we can finally see what Kelly has been building for 5 years. We have seen glimpses, but hindered by having no qb. That is about to change for good !

Elite prospects will come if we win this season - both the '15 and '16 variety.
