I actually really like his film. I hope we have offered.

And Kuehnja sorta joked about the MLB thing, but honestly...he seems to have the appropriate size and he plays the run very well. If I thought he was athletic enough to play in space, I'd definitely consider looking at him as a LB. He looks really smart. I love it. He beats reaches, squeezes down and keeps good contain, rides and sheds his blockers well...

Beau, you've come a long way buddy

In fact, he has "LB stats". 113 tackles and 4 sacks.

Same HS as Vontaze Burfict. His teammate Austin Maloata (SDE) is an USC commit.

TJ on Rivals stated that the staff is split on where best to utilize him right now, but that could be sorted out through more evaluation. Right now he would be seen as a primarily CAT type prospect. He is a former basketball player that just started with football 3 years ago. Coach Elliott evaluated him and liked what he saw.

I do not claim to be an expert, but I would want this kid to play for me just because of his blocking on the kick return team. He knocked two kids into next Tuesday! Good Golly Miss Molly!

And the other thing. On how many of those highlights did you see the offensive lineman cheating with his stance? It was clear to me those guys were trying to dial up turbo to deal with his size, speed, and strength.

I'll start by again saying I'm pretty bad at talent evals unless the guy is off of the charts. I think he'd take 3 years to see the field as a DL and even then, I don't think he has a high ceiling. I like him at MLB, but I'd really like to see him more in space. You can't really tell from that video (I only watched first 5 minutes, granted), but he doesn't seem to move well.

As a positive pointer, did you play? As I remember it, one of the hardest things to do (showing whether someone could move in space) was to pick up someone streaking down on kick coverage. As I remember it, it took a lot to position yourself to pick up a guy and get in a position to wall him off, let alone drop him like a rock. I will bet that is one of the things the coaches saw and liked. Of course back when I played we all had stone shoes . . .

Put this in here. II has confirmed that Jaylen Johnson an OLD/DE from Corona CA will be visiting this weekend. TJ, thinks he's an outside-in type player. Much like Yeargin, start outside and potentially move to ILB. Also, thinks he's underrated.

It will be interesting to see how many guys come up out of nowhere this year. I have a feeling it is going to be a theme.

You guys are making me look like the head on my shoulder is more than just dead weight! Haha Glad the much respected TJ agrees with me or vice versa.

TJ on II has been saying for awhile that ND would only take Braden Smith, Damien Mama, & another big name on the OL. He finally kinda gave in that the other name is KC McDermott. Interesting to know to what sort of capacity ND is still recruiting him.

He also said multiple times 3 total OL for 2015.

Also Jaylen Johnson's offer isn't commitable and they like him at ILB.

I'll update this thing after after Nelson commits somewhere/ Blankenship wraps up his visit.

Id have to go on a limb and disagree with the almighty TJ. Mama, and Smith in any combo they would take. Done at QB. Done at RB. Wrap up most of the class by Aug 31, and then get the icing on the cake after a great season.

You think we fill up, or close to it, before Week 1?

Most of the class. Gotta leave some spots open for the kids that will decide later, but the bulk of the class will be done before the season

We must be on the bound of going on a serious run of committments considering the first game is just over 2 months away

We're already at about 50% of the class filled, if you look at it like that it may not seem like such a stretch.

We had 17 commits going into last season. I don't think we will get to 17 this year.

And, to clarify the above statement before getting jumped, it doesn't matter the number we have heading into the season. This class is going to be outstanding come NSD.

Wiltfong says ND offered this morning as a CAT but he could play all 4 LB positions.

Damn as we're talking that Jesse A should be next in-line for a schollie, this happens. Until I read more I will definitely question this one.

Searching on twitter I see that he was apparently impressive at Tennessee's camp recently and has earned Purdue and Michigan State offers in the last two weeks.
