If ND offered him id be very shocked. Hes like McKenzie but without the speed. Cant have guys that arent able to do multiple things on the field much less with the size issue not favorable for him to get an offer.

I'm pretty damn sure Berrios and Hood know each other I seem to recall they were dating twin sisters a few months back

Kizer Wants Wideouts

“Another guy who doesn’t have an offer yet who I’ve been on is Braxton Berrios. He’s a very, very fast, very, very agile slot receiver. I’m going to take it back to the coaching staff and have them reevaluate him. He’s the go-to receiver for his team here being 5-9 max. He’s a little guy, but the kid makes moves. He’s a go-getter, he’s a winner. That’s the kind of guy I would like to throw to, someone who I can get the ball to in the open field and he’s going to get as many as he possibly can.”

Berrios is a prospect out of Raleigh, N.C., who has a top five of Clemson, Kentucky, South Carolina, West Virginia and Tennessee.

“He carries a 4.3 GPA, so I know he has the grades and character to be with the Fighting Irish,” said Kizer. “Now it’s just about getting him introduced to the coaching staff, have them reevaluate him and hopefully put out an offer.

“He has a top five, but those top five are from schools who have already offered. I talked to him last night for about an hour about Notre Dame, just explaining my thoughts about Notre Dame and how I feel about the school and he seemed really interested. He said the next step is just getting the coaches interested in him before he can be interested back. He doesn’t want to put any time into a school who doesn’t have interest in him.”

Kizer feels comfortable enough with Irish offensive coordinator Chuck Martin to make those kinds of suggestions.

“Coach Martin and I have a relationship to the point where I feel like I’m an incoming freshman who is already a part of the team,” he said. “I talk to him a lot about recruits coming in, how I approach certain guys and what type of guys we are recruiting. I try to think like I would if I were a coach. I don’t want to go get a guy who is a freak athlete, but I know doesn’t have the Irish character or the grades. I try my hardest to recruit the way the coaching staff above me recruits and consider myself one of them and continue to try to make this class as powerful as I can.”

On the type of the page, click "forums" tab. It should then give you some things to click on, you want to click on "The Leprechaun Lounge". After that, you should see a "New Thread" button.

NDWorld247's post Rivals100 Challenge, June Visits/Camp and The Opening projections based on a 24-player class:

Bold = GoldenArmy2014 Verbal Commit

QB: DeShone Kizer
RB: Elijah Hood
WR: Justin Brent, Corey Holmes, Michiah Quick, Isaiah McKenzie
TE: Nic Weishar, Tyler Luatua
OT: Quenton Nelson, Alex Bars
OG: Jimmy Byrne, Sam Mustipher

DE: Andrew Trumbetti, Andrew Williams, Solomon Thomas
DE/DT: Jay Hayes, Thomas Holley (NG/DT)
NG: None
CAT: Jonathan Bonner, Richard Yeargin III
ILB: Greer Martini
CB: Nick Watkins
S: Juju Smith
K/P: Tyler Newsome

Notes:

1. There are only 23 players listed above. I saved the last spot for one of the 'maybes' below.

2. I know we are recruiting Williams and Thomas as CAT LBs, but I think they end up at DE so I put them there. Didn't want to list four CAT LBs.

3. I would like to think we have a chance at another ILB (Morgan, Mouhon, Young), but right now I don't feel better than 50% on any of them.

4. I would like to think we land another OL (Braden Smith or, please baby jesus, Damien Mama), but, again, right now I don't feel better than 50% on either of them. I've actually felt really good on Smith for a while, but the kid is impossible to read right now.

5. I'm holding out hope for guys like Lorenzo Carter (CAT), Nathan Starks (RB), Allen Lazard (WR), Mark Andrews (WR), Quincy Wilson (CB), Matt Elam (NG), among others, in addition to the ILB and OL listed above, but don't feel better than 50% on any of them.

6. I'm confident we will get a commit that either a.) doesn't even have an IE profile right now, b) is currently committed elsewhere or c.) no one thinks we have a chance at.

I agree with this and recent history is on your side. Greg Bryant and Durham Smythe were guys committed elsewhere rather later in the cycle. I didn't even know who Durham Smythe was until early January. You see what can happen when a team goes 12-0, but it can also be done with 10 wins

Yes, please. I agree with your notes. This class needs a stud ILB and more DL. If that means Williams and Thomas end up there, so be it. But I think Elam and Holley should be top priorities on top of the two previously mentioned. I'm praying Lorenzo makes the call for ND as well.

I think we get one of Smith or Williams, and if we also get Yeargin he'll move inside.

I think we can't afford to only take 1 ILB.

Nothing new on Thomas. He likes ND, will visit, wants to take all of his visits, and won't make a decision until after his season.

Malone will take all of his officials and more unofficials. Georgia is the only official he knows right now. ND is in the mix but he can't say where because he doesn't know. He likes the offense we run and Alford.

Rashaan Evans wants the staff to call him more to build a relationship. He says he can tell the ND is going places and he knows a few recruits who are looking at ND hard (he is an Alabama kid so I would like to know who these recruits are). He is wide open right now and he top 5 of UGA, UCLA, Tennessee, FSU, and Auburn is "temporary". Scheme and coach relationships are important in his recruitment.

We have cooled on Dixon. The staff has not been in much contact with him lately. He wanted to visit while at the Rivals 100 in Chicago but couldn't because of the rules. He hasn't eliminated ND but he doesn't have any plans to visit right now.

Thanks for the updates, that is interesting about the Evans kid, pretty cool that a kid from Alabama is hoping the staff contacts him and not vise versa. Could be someone that gets more interest if we strike out with Carter and Williams.

Didn't feel like finding a relevant thread-- but I'm at an accounting conference in Texas, talked to a girl in the A&M football recruiting office, she said that recruits and players are getting paid thousands and thousands of dollars under the table. Tried to record the convo lol but couldn't make it happen.

Wonder if Kyle Allen cashed in? The only other prospect we are really competing with A&M for is Braden Smith.

Going to be interesting to watch the recruiting battles with UCLA over Corey Holmes and Nick Watkins. Two guys we currently lead for but will give UCLA hard looks. Jim Mora can die in a fire.

As an aside...

Makes me wonder if Todd should be a "name to watch"... was surprised by his quick commit to Oklahoma and I'm not sure how much interest our staff has/how much they're still in contact but we did extend an offer and he was recruited hard at one point.

I thought about it, I think Luatua was just joking around as him and Todd were looking to rile up fans and/or gain followers. I hope we are still recruiting Todd, he's my favorite "big" receiver we have offered sans Andrews.

I said it when he committed or shortly after but I would not be shocked at all to see him OV.

Agreed. They had some fun tonight on twitter.

Although I found it interesting that a Justin Hopkins of 247 posted a Crystal Ball prediction for Todd on Friday, almost three months after he committed to Oklahoma. Hopkins predicted Nebraska. Todd followed this up with a tweet that he was 100% committed to OU.

There were rumors a couple days ago of him being shaky. His commitment seemed rushed when he did it (almost as if Oklahoma put on pressure as they were worried about other teams starting to show interest) and I've heard he still talks to other schools. I don't know how high he is on ND's board though or how much interest has been shown lately.

His verbal to OU screamed decommit to me because it to date is his only visit
besides a USC Junior Day and then bam he visits OU & was blown away and committed two days later even though he had some schools he said he wanted to see, including ND. With Luatua taking OVs to ND, OSU, & Bama, I would be suprised if he doesn't tag along on one or visit one of the Cali schools.
