Was about to comment on heights. Kinlaw is shorter than expected but Butler is as advertised.

What's funny about that is if you look at Butler's 247 profile, he is listed at 6'2", but if you look at his listed height in the 247 ND commit list, he is 6'1". So, even the recruiting services can't list a consistent height for a guy.

The sites are in such a rush to be the first to tweet out measurements ands and presser info etc that I've seen some discrepancies all of them today

i thought Kelly said more about safety than corner.

called Farley bcs caliber.

agree wood is in battle for 3 or 4 corner.

There was a one foot article about how now was put up or shut up time for JAtkinson and JBrown.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on with JTurner?

I'm alright with JAtkinson and JBrown. The guy who I want to move on is Massa-Not because I don't like him, but because I feel he adds nothing to the depth of the team. A converted QB? the only thing he has going for him is his height.

After reflection, I also feel better about Rees. The coaches know his capabilities and will play to his strengths. they have had quite some time to develop a plan of action with him and I feel they have shown the ability to adapt (at least after learning the option-haha).

Feel good about WR with the progress of DD, last years flash with Brown, and the rooks of Onawualala and Robinson.

RB-yes, as many are I am concerned with GA3, but with Cam pushing him and the studs of both young freshmana RB (both over 200!!) I feel good.

Overall, I am neck deep in Kool-Aid that has a slight greenish tint. Could be the Shamrock Series color!

If safety is good, then we are the best in the nation on defense.

If Tommy and right guard are good, then we are practically unbeatable.

I'm still not quite getting green koolaid drunk. ... but maybe close.

With those statements, I'd say you're all the way there OMM!

Also, man, they are getting everything ready at the school. Saw about 5 Penske trucks there, plus the normal huge ND big-rig that is always at the school. TONS of planning and moving has to go into something this big, and it looks like they are ready to roll.

Also saw Brian Kelly for the first time today. He pulled out and was behind me in a brand new sweet-*** escalade excursion (not a car guy, so that might not even be a thing lol. Whatever it was, it was niiiice). Only reason I bring this up is to brag. Just kidding. The real reason I bring this up is because it was brand new (no plates), meaning that we can bring this whole 'Kelly is leaving' thing to an end, because everyone knows you don't buy a new ride if you are about to move on. The end. You're welcome.

Do you think this is the logic that those that have been through it a few more years apply? And do you think the claim of Kool-Aid is something that those that have no understanding throw up?

I worked for an old Irishman once. He said that those that gossiped about his drinking just didn't understand his grasp on reality, therefore all rumors were exaggeration. He said in later years he made sure he never drank vodka, so everyone would be sure to know when the whiskey was talking!

Me I agree with you. I never saw the disharmony in camp this year that sprung up in gossip. I saw Kelly, Martin, and Diaco as on a mission to Foxboro, to bring back the piece that would get this team to the next level. And I saw this team as more complete than any previous one.

I had a great time yesterday at my daughters softball team party talking college football with other parents. I wore a ND shirt and cap. No one could lay off of it. I heard how Michigan was going to plow ND under. And how great tOSU was. It really was funny, because my daughters undefeated team really is a good bunch, including parents. Where it counts, they rock. I was so agreeable and complementary, with just a question or two thrown in. The Michigan fans loved the, "Gardner played well against who? His backup is who? And the why didn't he get more playtime at QB if Hoke is such a good coach?" sequence. And the Buckeye fans loved the, "Of course Urban is a great coach, he was an assistant at ND, you know; what happens when he loses control in Columbus like he did in Gainesville?" Pretty funny. After yesterday, Mike, I think ND fans are on the low burner for delusions of grandeur! (Relatively speaking!)

I've always been a huge EG guy, and I have never been particularly bullish on TR but I too am over the initial shock of the loss, and am not really worried about a season with a senior QB who played his entire sophomore season, played in a lot of important moments of last year, knows the system inside and out, and knows that he will commit TOs if he doesn't play within the system.

He'll be fine. The pressure is on the OLine to dominate, and my guess is that Martin and Watt are perfect leaders for that scenario.

The Tommy "fans" actually hope he runs fewer plays so they defense can be less aggressive by choice not necessity.

This seems to have some significance for what #NotreDame wants on offense: Tommy Rees' training camp roommate? DaVaris Daniels.

Rees' roommate last year as we all know was Golson. Coach did that so Tommy could share as much knowledge possible, show him the level of focus in film/playbook study.

I like the move with Daniels. him and Tommy can get on same page and Daniels couldn't have a better peer with him throughout camp.
