First time for a game. Took a summer visit which is when he got the offer. Then Elston visited him and he committed.

So scratch the 6-7 talk.

Exaggeration on a complete unknown is a red flag. The fact that Elston took him so early will keep the red flag in my pocket.

Still, was hoping for an insanely long ATH that could create havoc in passing lanes on his side. So now we wait and see.

So now that he’s 6’5” instead of 6’7”, he won’t be able to create havoc?

He looks sightly taller than Mills who is listed as 6'5.
Isn't Alexander abnormally young for his grade? Hopefully he keeps developing because he def. is thin.

He’s older. Will be 19 when he gets to ND.

Believe Rubio is a full 6’5 so Alexander should be that. Maybe there was a hole. Maybe the other two have grown. Alexander’s photo next to Elston early in his recruitment made him look all of 6’6

All possible except the hole. I'll bet my life there's no hole on ND's field surface.

He can be 5'6" as far as I care, so long as he has a 6'7" person's wingspan!

Birthday is March 2000, so he is already 19 and will turn 20 during spring practice.

I think the most important thing about prospects like this is patience. Patience from fans, coaching staff, and themselves. Obviously we see what patience has brought a guy like Ade O and his career trajectory, which seems to be peaking perfectly as he enters his 5th year. Alexander should be afforded that same luxury should he need it.

Your comparing our German sack machine to a commie russian?

Ivan was just misunderstood. He was at heart a capitalist used by the reds.

Dolph was actually a brainiac Swede with a masters in Engineering and an MIT scholarship.

Will never see the field. Prefer to be "patient" with a four-five star between his freshman and sophomore year...Not for a dude to be productive in his fifth year. His film is the ONLY thing we have to go by...and its not good. Pictures of tanks are great (love tanks) but this is just a roster spot I my opinion. What is that we say when we aren't enamored with a prospect? I really hope I'm wrong.

This isn't some Kofi Wardlow/Jon MacCollister situation, you couldn't ask for a better frame from your project defensive end prospect. Guess we should have passed on Ade? How is his film the only thing to go by? The competition is so bad it renders it irrelevant. The only relevant thing for a foreign prospect is his physical traits.

Since you're in the mood for hot takes, I'll say he has a significantly better career than your four-five star NOM.

I think he's an absolute steal. And he has a very good first step for being 6'5"/6'6".

His film is against really bad competition. So is Tyler Buchner's, and other people we take.

I think he makes an impact over at least 2 years at ND. My sleeper of the class.

His film isn't irrelevant just because the competition is so bad...my stance comes from what he DOSEN'T do in the film. He should be a complete menace and dominant. He should be quicker than guys smaller than him and more powerful than dudes bigger than him...he's not. I've watched miles of film (a life time ago) and I just don't see it. I typically drink the Kool aid on kids coming in...just not here. Some of the best frames, bodies, physical attributes never got on the field with some of the teams I've played with. Might be a great kid, the story is cool, international recruiting...look at us! Small class so I didn't think it was a good to take up a spot with this one. no hot take.

I find his speed impressive. At his weight I wouldn’t expect him to be bullying guys but with his frame he could certainly get there. The biggest concern, IMO, is his hands. He beats guys with his feet rather than defeating blocks.

Does he even have coaches that know how to properly coach the game? This is German American football we are talking about here. Defensive moves are teachable which is why he is considered a project.
