Ehrensburger is currently listed as a class of 2020 prospect, but if you look at his Hudl, he recently posted “Senior Season Highlights.” There is a chance that he could arrive in South Bend well before the other recruits in his class or at the latest, in January with the early enrollees that cycle.

Per 247Sports, Ehrensberger is the No. 51 strong-side defensive end in the class of 2020 and the top recruit in Germany that cycle.

Dude will need a LOT of practice reps before he's ready for actual games. But long,quick guys are hard to find and relatively easy to bulk up so I see why we took him.

Doubt if there is room in August. EE as part of 2020 class seems way more likely.

Whatever it is, worst case being a 2020 EE isn't bad because he can still probably get a ton of work in with his trainer in Germany and still be here in time to get real reps in the spring.

I kind of did because this cryptic tweet. "Changed the culture forever" sounded like more than just a commitment and with how they were going nuts over having an ND coach at their place it seemed like that might be it. They also said their top guys would be committing soon, so I wonder if Darkwa pops for us soon too.

This is the sort of prospect ND has to invest 3-4 spots in. Uber physical talents that may or may not be ready for primetime players at this time. Cullen Coleman and Marcellus Moore are other examples. You have to get guys who can become game wreckers when you can't land a Jaylon Smith in each class.
