Sinclair’s article made it sound like if he qaulifies, he’s ND’s to lose. Alexander, McGregor, Mills, Big Kahuna, and a quality drop. I’d get pretty excited about that DL class

Unless there's something strange credit wise from being in a German school, would be very surprised if he didn't qualify. I have two buddies from Germany here in the states. One came over during HS. He was quite advanced compared to the grade he was slotted in due to age. He said even in AP classes, he was prone to napping until he went off to college.

Kid is going to be 20 during his freshman season and will turn 21 during his freshman year. He is basically a built in redshirt (or really 2 redshirts). He might need a year of college coaching before he can make an impact, but even then he should be physically advanced enough that you can assume he will make an impact by his sophomore year.

I think he's an EE right? So will be on campus in a year. I can see him a lean 255+ when he steps foot in the Bend.

ISD - if Elston can get out of SB (doubtful due to weather), he'll be visiting this guy.

His brief senior film reminds me Aaron Lynch.

Wednesday's forecasted high of -13F probably makes the tradeoff more attractive.

I remember those days in the 70's and 80's. My Mom wouldn't let me go outside unless I had 2 pair of socks on under my Chuck's and still had to be home when the street lights came on.

He might be the next JJ Watt but no way am I taking his commitment until McGregor & Henry play their cards.

I'm not a fan of offering kids over a year in advance when they're a plan b or plan c. ESPECIALLY at a position where the staff historically sucks at recruiting. Until Notre Dame is consistently putting defensive ends into the NFL and they're competing against the top teams, you best not slow play a guy you offered early and plays a position that is always needed. So, take this kid's commitment any day from now until his NSD.

Well it seems like the staff is going to use admissions as way to do just this. In this case, I don't agree with that strategy. 2020 is a can't miss on numbers cycle for SDE. Getting 2 is an absolute must so you take 1 early and go all out for a 2nd. If there is an elite 3rd that wants in, then take them as well. It's the difference between a 5 or 6 person DL class. Don't think that'd be an issue.

Also, if Mills is 6'5 275 there is no way Henry is 6'6 260. Those boys are going to be the next Jerry Tillery's.

Alabama and Georgia both have 36 offers out to DLineman currently. ND has 20. What exactly is your point? If ND only offered 5-10 guys who were their top targets they’d never get the plan B guys on campus without an offer or they’d be outside of those guy’s top 10’s and out of mind. I actually hope for the opposite where ND gets offers out early to a bunch of DLineman. ND offered Mazi Smith, Jowon Briggs, Hunter Spears, Jacob Lacey, and Joseph Anderson super early and got good traction because of it even though they were never going to take all of those guys. Instead they got to have their choice of who to go after harder by building relationships with several guys. I hope ND builds relationships with Alex Ehrensberger, Rylie Mills, Braiden McGregor, Darrion Henry, Sav’ell Smalls, Jaheim Thomas, Xavier Carlton, and Jalen Logan-Redding in hopes that they get a good connection with 2-3 of those guys and get them on board. In the next 4 months, all of these recruits are going to take visits and some will make up their minds about their future soon and ND shouldn’t be sitting on the sidelines for that.

Is it just for him or is he going to stop by some of the other German/euro kids as well? I know he follows another d-lineman on twitter and the training place that he is at that visited ND has coaches stop by to check out a bunch of guys at once.

While this kid might be the only one at ND's level, there are some other P5 recruits coming out of that training facility and maybe we can see if we can get some lesser developed guys as PWOs.

Edit: This is the kid I was talking about Elston following. Looks like he is in the US right now visiting, so I guess Elston won't be seeing him in Germany.
