What are you disagreeing with? If it's not a severe kidney injury that would have him out multiple weeks, and it isn't a rib injury and/or minor kidney injury that would have him out vs. FSU, what is it? I suppose it could get worse, but seems like the plan is for him to be ready for Syracuse.
Hypothetically, if the doctors told BK that there is a 20% chance that he would be ready for Syracuse, I would fully expect BK to say that he is expecting Book to be back for Syracuse, knowing that he could always change it later on saying that the kidney didn't progress as well as they hoped.
Bottom line is that I don't think it's guaranteed that he will be back for Syracuse and I'm also guessing it's not guaranteed that he will be out. The answer is probably someplace in between.
Game time forecast, 26, but feels like 20. 0% precip.
That's a 40+ degree swing for FSU.
I saw on the news that south Florida is having temps in the mid to high 80's this week. That would be a about a 60 degree swing! I can't imagine that wouldn't affect their play at all. I think that was a part of our terrible play vs Miami last year. Just the swing was in the opposite direction.
Apparently FSU didn't get into South Bend until around 5 pm today.
That's not a lot of time to acclimate to the blistering cold.
They're not trying to acclimate. They're trying to keep warm.

If Book can't go, does the guy in the middle have any eligibility left?
Real talk (and off topic but his picture is a few posts up so I think it fits) I think Tommy may be my favorite ND player of all time. He was the quarterback to break the USC streak. The Michigan Streak, and started for 2 Bowl wins. In the last 10 years most of my happy ND football memories has been with Tommy under center! So happy he’s still part of the program and mentoring new players!
The Irish have an advantage over the Alabama defense. They are not able to read a Book.

A little step back this week but still very good. Still recovering, shaking the rust off, WR drops, new play calling, etc.. lots "excuses", but still tossed for almost 300 to 7 different guys and 2 TDs. Hated the INT, but really but it was 4-1 so an INC would have turned it over anyway. Should have RTDB.
What an incredible find by the staff. I bet someone last year after the bowl game that Ian would be the starter for more games than Wimbush this year. Wish I could find that bet buried in the thread-abyss.
Yep...I would have called you crazy back then but I've already stuffed my face with crow here about being a Wimbush defender in September.
I love this kid. Can tell he loves to compete, and he's so efficient. Great combination.
His targets are all getting better each week, too.
