Good to see this camaraderie - they are both team players

The Irish have an advantage over the Alabama defense. They are not able to read a Book.
That's pretty funny right there. Even as a Bama fan I chuckled a bit. Reps your way. But I would caution... those that poke the bear don't usually enjoy the outcome.

I am excited for the headline possibilities in an ND vs. Alabama showdown.
"'We're Not Afraid of Book' Proclaims Alabama"
"Is Book Alabama's Kryptonite?"
"Alabama Undaunted by Book's Toughness"
"Book an Unusual Challenge for Alabama"

LoL... I was thinking more like...
"Bama Closes the Book Again on Notre Dame."
We both still got some work to do before we get to any of that. Good luck and may our paths cross on the football field soon.

not going to poke the bear in fear of a good old fashion book burning. Q the Fahrenheit 451 memes from Bama fans. They'll probably have to get help from the guys at Samford though, as I've doubt any Bama fans have actually read F451 or knows how to create a meme.
Y'all killing me with the bumping of this thread.
I don’t know what it is, but I can never see any of your gifs or a couple other people’s. Everyone else’s are fine though.

What an incredible find by the staff. I bet someone last year after the bowl game that Ian would be the starter for more games than Wimbush this year. Wish I could find that bet buried in the thread-abyss.
Only one more win...'this last one'......?

I thought you guys were elephants...
Listening to the II podcast, they were asked if Book's injury can be the reason why his completion % has dropped. They all said 100% yes. Besides Tranquill, they think Book will benefit the most from the 5 week break.
They also talked briefly that teams now have a scouting report on him, but his injury has been a bigger issue than expected. At first, they thought it was a bruise but its a cracked rib.
It did seem like he was more inaccurate after the Northwestern game and the completion percentages by game seem to support that.

I was asked not to share this, but if misinformation is going to be put out there.
He has a hairline fracture in one rib, and the lowest grade of kidney laceration. He is not ruled out for any week beyond this one. Realistically, I could see him getting kept out against Syracuse, but it all has to do with how his kidney progresses. More significant kidney injuries take a month+ to heal, but lesser injuries are on a time frame of about 2 weeks typically. Regardless, they won't put him back on the field until he's healed up.

injury
D's changing their plan because of injury
D's changing their plan because they now have tape on him
Our OC/HC calling less dink/dunk
Our OL ranking 117th on passing yard downs
We had a game or two where the WRs got a case of the drops
I'm not saying Book can't improve on the long ball, or the OL can't improve in general, but there's plenty of reasons to not get away from dink and dunk. Getting away from bread and butter stuff stresses the entire O, and in turn makes the D work longer/harder too. I hope we go back to what works in the playoffs, and the experiments were aimed at throwing off future CFP opponents.
