I hear what you're saying...but doesn't BK have a history of not necessarily being up front about the severity of injuries?

Lots of coaches do what they can to avoid disclosing injury info. But there's a big difference between not being "up front" and flat-out lying about an x-ray or MRI being clean if it's not.
Just like Tom Knight broke his ankle playing pick up basketball several years ago..........
Josh Shaw is the gold standard here.

The bar fight thing is 100% bullshit. I'm not sure why anyone believes it. He was already in a boot when he showed up at the parents' post-game tailgate on Saturday.
Agree with dad4aa that he doesn't play this weekend.
Wimbush entered the practice facility on crutches right after BK said this in his presser according to twitter:
"Wimbush is off crutches. Kelly says they will not push him hard today. Will move him around but not in position to have him practice on Tuesday."

I agree, no way he plays. With a buy week then USC. He would have almost 3 weeks of healing for USC.
Another reason I wanted Ian during last week for this exact reason. I did state that we need him ready in case of injury, with our track record of injuries to QB we need them ready.
I do like Ian's feel for passing much better than Brandon's. But, Brandon has that improv thing about him that sets him apart. But, Ian is a talented dude too.
Why are so many people acting like a boot = severe injury?
Guaranteed no way he plays? That seems like a pretty quick jump to conclusion... I know athletes that played with bumps, bruises, sprains repeatedly.
I think it's also due to BK saying he's off crutches, when in reality he's not. Reporters saw him walking into the Gug fully using those crutches with the boot.

Again, I've seen people in boots (with crutches) playing basketball the next day...
As for Kelly, it could be as simple as "he thought" that Brandon wasn't using them, and just the boot...Don't think that proves he's hiding anything.

If a head coach doesn't know whether or not his starting QB is using crutches or not, he wouldn't have advanced his career past high school football coach.

It's entirely possible he expected Brandon to be off them today and hadn't seen him. Nice try.
