Woah! I hope he isnt slowed by all that mass. He looks more like a bodybuilder than football player. Crazy gains for a few months.

Yeah. Will be interesting to see how this #bodybybialis stuff translates into functional strength and speed on the field.

Not to be a curmudgeon, but why did he cut off his weight in picture 2?

This whole thing, especially the amount of time Balis has been around, looks like picture one was taken pre-workout and picture two was taken post workout with a pump.

I don't see much of a difference outside of flexing/posing in one pic and not in the other.

Didn't want to be the first to poo poo, but I was thinking the same thing. Plus, the second pic he is closer the camera. He's been yoked since he got here. I don't think cutting off stats on the second pic was unintentional either.

Yeah you could really tell the difference with Stepherson's picture and on top of that the proof was in his stats that were shown.

If Coney showed his stats showing 10 lbs heavier and leaner BF then i would be really impressed. But i know how some of these things can be deceiving.

But mad props if it's legit.

Yup. Didn't want to be that guy, but totally agree with you guys. Coney is basically getting his flex on in pic 2. Kid is still jacked though, so it's pointless to argue.

Agreed.. I think he has made some gains but its not like we are reinventing how all SC programs will be run in the future

Playing at a very high level. Obviously I don't have coaches film and can't see all the plays, but he seems to be playing the best of all the Line Backers.

One of the most improved players on the team without a doubt.

Certainly playing better than Marini. Martini is having a really rough start to the year. He was the backside help on a lot of plays that he didn't clean up, while being right there.

Good news, he was there. Bad news, he didn't finish

13 tackles is impressive. 13 tackles while splitting time is even more impressive.

I'm not typically a fan of bumping player's threads during the season, but holy hell how good is this guy playing? Nyles Morgan is healthy, and I'd argue he's our 3rd best LBer. Think about that for a second.

Coney was playing on another level Saturday night, and has been a thumper all year. He's the most enjoyable LB to watch since Jaylon in 2015.

He deserves it. Played really well last night and is really coming into his own. It’s been building all season.

One thing I did notice during the game, and also on the re0watch was, Coney's name was being called all day; he was around the ball, around the play all day. Other players like that were Daelin Hayes, and of course Drue Tranquill.

As pointed out in another thread, Daelin Hayes effects plays, even when he is not involved in the tackle. Quite a few defensive players appear to have stepped the game up, Coney was definitely one of them.

Agreed. Thought he deserved the game ball because he set the tone for the defense on the first play and kept his foot on the gas.

He's becoming the linebacker we had all hoped for.

His off season work is paying off now. Totally remade his body (thanks Matt Balis) and it shows. Really playing physical football.

You guys think Coney takes the majority share of snaps and then some over Martini now or feel it will still be 50/50ish?

I'm sure he does. Not only am I sure, but I'm HIV positive he does. Martini hadn't been playing well IMO, and Coney was. Now he's coming off a game where he went bonkers, IDK how you keep him off of the field if you have a clue.

I would love to see how many times Ronald Jones was met at or behind the LOS, and how many of those times Coney was included in the group meeting him. Because it felt like everytime. He refused to be blocked, and played with attitude.
