Damn. Good 1st post, or you went incognito. Either way, this isn't BYU. He deserved the suspension but I agree with LAX he should be let back on the team.

I disagree. Coach Brian Kelly has worked long and hard to establish a standard at Notre Dame. So far only Justin Brent appears to be capable of reaching it.

If she was an Instagram thot, then 2 game suspension and windsprints. Maybe One game minimum.

But i common streetwalker !?!! This we cannot accept. Not at my Notre Dame.

Good lord. I always wondered what the deal was. If this is true this is pretty sad, but really funny. Could you imagine being the coach doing the check in or lights out or whatever the procedure is LOL.

Haha I guess you all missed the Autry Denson thread yesterday... but yeah that also was far from his first transgression.

Someone may have a different takeaway, but that was a lot of words to say "we don't know."

BK made similar comments about Stepherson last season every time someone asked if he'd be available... "there's a lot that goes into this"; "everyone has work to do"; "we hope he does what he needs to do"

And then the uncomfirmed 4-game suspension was basically confirmed when he got on the field in game 5 after all those comments.

Hope we find out sooner rather that later...

I can tell you this though. Dex is still putting in work physically, as you can see with his social media. So he clearly plans on playing at some point, somewhere haha

Reading between the lines that doesn’t sound great for him playing against Michigan.
As for Dex putting in the work, that’s good. As he should. But at this point, unless he’s not going to play at all for us, he’d be nuts to transfer and sit a year. One could argue he might even be better off sitting four games and having fresh legs through the end of the season.

Dexter and Wimbush are the only 2 ND players I follow on social media.

FWIW, Dexter Williams appears to be helping at the Kids camp at ND stadium that runs today through Wednesday.

Just good to see he's at ND campus. Again, doesn't mean much else.

Hopefully this is a good sign; i.e. why would someone who is allegedly in the "dog house" be volunteering for such an event, but as you said I don't think you can look into this too much.

I know nothing about the inner workings of the Gug, but it sure doesn't seem like a coincidence that ND seems to devote less and less effort towards recruiting the state of Florida.

Not sure I see what you are seeing. 4 FL commits in 2017 and More 2020 offers to FL kids than IN kids. This year it does feel like there is less action in FL though.

Of the 2017 Florida kids, Hainsey just spent a year in Florida at IMG; same with Griffith in 2018. As for the rest of those kids, MacCollister already transferred and Drew White will likely never play at Notre Dame. Gibbons is still young, but he's already anonymous on the roster. At least none of them have ended up jail like previous Florida players, I guess.

As for offering more Florida than Indiana kids, that doesn't seem out of the ordinary to me with how many more D1 players there are in Florida than Indiana. Even if you deemphasize Florida after the countless bad decisions ND has made with taking Florida kids, I'd assume you could still find more program fits there than you would in Indiana.

if Denson has 3 of his running back position players kicked out of school basically in one year then some fingers have to be pointed at him IMO

If that is the case, he'll transfer shortly here in July.

I think at worse he's out for 4 games. I would not bet on a transfer, or sitting any more than 4. And I'm 50/50 on him sitting out at all. Just a feeling.

Agreed. Dex has NFL talent but only one year left to show it in college. If he’s not going to get meaningful playing time at ND this season, he’d be crazy to stay and piss away his last season. Should transfer, sit a year, and start fresh somewhere else.
That he hasn’t done so already is, to me, a good sign of confidence that he’ll be RB1/1A (with Jones) by week five at the latest.

You're probably right and I'm confusing FL RBs....

Anyone know what Dex supposedly did?

Well if McIntosh was honestly dismissed for getting a little HEY HEY, then Williams was probably dismissed for something equally frivolous like using someone elses Netflix password.

I think he'd actually go down a level in competition, run for like 2,000 yards, average 7 YPC, and go to the draft. I don't think he'd sit another year out just to play in 2019. BK's had him sit long enough, the kid must be going crazy to have all this talent and just watch the years pass on by.

I actually meant to say 18 in terms of #s. Hoping Austin, Wilkins, and Takacs work out.

RBs regardless of state seem to be prone to issues. The fact we've had FL RB issues, doesn't scare me away from FL. We have some pretty shitty luck in CA too.

In short, finding good fits for ND is always going to be a challenge. Are some positions more of a challenge, probably. Are some states more of a challenge, probably. That's just cruitin'.

I'm hoping the Naples area kids work out.
