Everyone ragged on Kizer for not being "cocky" enough, so his agent tells him to go out there and be arrogant. Then he overdoes it, and will never live down that quote unless he's literally the greatest QB of all time. Good grief.

I believe you are correct in all respects.

Love it. Hoping everyone gets scared and the Steelers get him...he doesn't have to be the greatest...all he has to do is keep rolling like big Ben and add a couple rings...

Hyperbole generates attention, especially in sports.

I can't fault him for trying to get that Jamarcus Russell money.

With his collegiate experience in business, I think he'll be wise enough to invest it.

I guess the positive way to look at what he said is you want your QB to think this way. Better than saying I'm striving to be an adequate QB.

Media took his comments way out of context. Acting like he said that he is as good as Brady and Cam, which isn't at all what he said. What kind of mindset do people want from their QB? A guy that says "gee whizz, I hope I'm an ok QB" or a guy that says "I can be the best, only person stopping me from that is myself".

Of course. You have to respect the confidence. Still, we're talking about a guy who lost, what, at least four games last year with the ball in his hand and a chance to win. He's got a ways to go before he's Brady.

I like his chances, with the right team. What are the issues - immaturity. Is that it? Someone help me out..? Wish the Dolphins needed a QB.

I just saw this article on ESPN's website. I can't bring myself to read the comments.

Brady at 21 wasn't Brady.

I'd rather have a guy who says nothing and just goes and does greatness. Honestly this just reiterates most of the diva comments.

However, only problem I really have with it is bringing another guy's name from the draft into it.

10 years from now "name the two QB's that were drafted before Deshone Kizer in the 2017 draft" is going to be a trivia question that no one is going to remember.

Ooooh shit Peter Mahomes? Or something like that?

Can you believe XX number of teams passed on Kizer? Wow.

Ur opinion on draftable QBs is null and void. What's Manziel up to? Oh yeah...

There's a difference between wanting your team to draft someone and rooting for someone because they play for your team.

lol I couldn't see the quotes on my phone earlier tonight when I responded. I only saw the "I can be the best" reference by Fortuna.

DeShone is confident to say the least.

I agree to a point but I like my guys doing it, not talking about it. People said no one works harder than Manning, he didn't tell the media that. Teammates said no one practices harder than Kobe, Kobe didn't tell Jim Grey that.

I want my QB do believe he can be the best of all time, bust his butt and have teammates talk about his greatness. I don't want Johnny Football texting OC's on draft night saying we are going to light the league on fire when you didn't do anything yet
