..and none of those exec's are probably in the market for a QB. So any info they have is from their buddies lying to them at the meetings.

Obviously I hope he goes as a high as possible for the recruiting juice but for his sake I hope he ends up at the end of the 1st or 2nd so he's with a team that doesn't throw him out there too soon. I'd have been fine if the Bears would've kept Hoyer for the 2 years KC gave him and drafted Kizer. Three years of Glennon means no QB to me.

Jeremiah is one of the best in the business and a part of that is he has great sources in the league who trust him and they feed him good info. No BS.

My point is, there are two types of exec's looking for QB's in the first 2 rounds, liars and mutes.

And your point would be wrong as it concerns Jeremiah. He gets solid info. And despite what fans think there are very few secrets among NFL teams. It isn't difficult at all for teams to find out what other teams are thinking.

I've saved his mocks. His last one should be gospel I take it.

I love the thought of the NFL hiring in house analysts that can go and get true insider only info that they then share on the league's website for all the other teams to know exactly what the guys ahead of them are doing.

It reads like a Mel Brooks script. Obviously no one's talking in Foxboro.

2017 NFL Mock Draft: Three-round mock includes 15 trades, seven quarterbacks - CBSSports.com
by R.J. White 15h ago

"With the 31st pick of the First Round Kizer to Da Browns."

After Trubinsky, Watson, Mahones,

31. Chicago Bears (from Atlanta)
Bears get: First-round pick (No. 31)
Falcons get: Second-round pick (No. 36), fourth (No. 117)
Top needs: QB, OT, WR, S
DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame: With the 49ers showing interest in Kizer and now owning the first two picks of the second round in this mock, the Bears can't afford to wait if they decide the Notre Dame quarterback is their future franchise passer. Kizer has great size and a strong arm but needs time to develop into an NFL starter. The Bears can afford to groom him to eventually take over, with Mike Glennon signed to be their 2017 starter. The Falcons have only six picks in the draft, so they would likely welcome the opportunity to land another fourth-rounder.

If you ask 5 execs who aren't in the market for a 1st Rd qb what their opinion is of a first Rd qb, then their answer is completely useless despite how honest or legit their answer might be

If Kizer doesn't get drafted to Cleveland or some other train wreck he's going to be a very good QB, and a lot of GM's are going to be wondering why they passed on him.

I just don't get all the issues people are projecting on to him? I certainly don't see him being a high-maintenance diva in the NFL! That's laughable to me. He may be arrogant for all I know, but he's clearly humble enough to know that he's surrounded by players who are just as talented and coaches who know 1000x more than him.

I think Coach Kelly's view is exactly right. Good kid. Smart. Very high upside. Very teachable. Could have used one more year because he needs a lot of reps.

STEELERS!

just read some fly-by-night article this AM that said he be a great fit in Steel town to act as Big Ben's understudy for a couple years. I'd be just fine with that.

BK was right...But I still love DK. Would look dapper in the Black and Yellow.

As a Steelers fan I can tell you that's not going to happen. IMO best place for Kizer would as 2nd round pick of Niners. Kyle Shanahan would be the perfect coach for him.

If the Steelers take DK I'll throw a fit. I want to win now. A pass rusher or defensive back would be preferable.

I honestly would love to see him go to the Chiefs. I am not a huge fan of them but that seems a great place for him coach/waiting time to learn from. Not to mention a pretty good all around team there as well.

I'm reading that it is a deep draft on D skill positions, so can still do that in rounds 2-4.

But outside my bias for wanting DK in black and yellow...I'd prefer a Dback...porous back there.

I'd love to get all three...but I'm Greedy...totally Greedy.

Steelers would be great. I don't really care about particular NFL teams, but it seems like the best thing for Kizer would be to go in the back half of the first round to a team with a good veteran QB and stable coaching, where he can learn for a couple of years before taking the reins. Aaron Rodgers style (Speaking of, any chance the Packers take him? That'd be awesome).

Not in the first anyways. Favre was what, 35-37 when Rodgers was drafted? I don't think Aaron is old enough to warrant THAT high of a pick. Now if this was a few years from now, it wouldn't surprise me, because Ted Thompson does things I wouldn't think of, but nah. Not now. Not in the first.

Favre was 35 when they drafted Rodgers (with the 24th pick). Rodgers is 33. Who knows. Stranger things...

Yeah but was Favre airing out the idea of retiring yet? I wasn't paying attention at that time, but I thought that was kind of a factor.

IIRC, quite the opposite. He defiantly not ready to retire and had no interest in "grooming" his replacement.

I doubt Rodgers would be happy about it either.

Working out for the Cardinals today, after meeting with them last week.

I can't remember if it was here or elsewhere, but I believe somebody mentioned that today is the last day for teams to bring in prospects for private workouts. There had been smoke for a while that the Cards may be interested. Very intriguing that he's getting a visit in with AZ right before the draft.

9/10 when a team brings a kid in for a visit who isn't local they are bluffing.

and what is this that i hear a "diva personality" on kizer?

DeShone Kizer Has 'Diva Qualities' According to Anonymous AFC Head Coach | Bleacher Report

DeShone Kizer scouting report: NFL coach says QB has 'voices in his head' | NFL | Sporting News

“He’s got the size, the arm talent and he’s very bright,” he told MMQB. “But there’s a disconnect there. There are diva qualities there, and he seems to get voices in his head, like he’s fighting who he is. And once the cycle starts, he can’t get himself right.”

The guys on the daily SportsBeat radio show WSBT have been making fun of that since it came out

Interesting how all these reports have been snowballing since the Draft talk began. You would think of this would have manifested itself in Kizer during his 3 years at school, certainly feels like blatant rumors to dissuade teams at this point. The "voices in his head" comment is kind of laughable, that one goes a bit too far I think.

Well you only get so many visits, 10 I think. They very well could be bringing him in to scope him out, just in case the Niners trade into the back of the 1st for him.

I'm not sure what to think, because Kizer wouldn't be playing next year on the Cards, and I've heard from a few of their fans that many don't expect Arians to be the coach for longer than another 2 years. Then again, if I'm a QB whisperer, I'd probably take Kizer, if I need somebody for the future.

He's working out for the Cardinals in South Bend. They're coming to him, not the other way around.
