I really don't care if we get him or not. I mean clearly the kid isn't the most moral of kids. I question his dedication to football if he is willing to put himself before the team (at Bishop). And do we really need him? I do not think we are losing any RB's (correct me if I'm wrong) and if we don't take one this cycle we can go all in for a top one in '15 with that pitch.

You don't have to agree with me. What do I know anyways. I'm just saying he was kicked out of Bishop Gorman high school. If we got him I would not be upset at all because there is an upside there. I just think it is foolish to take a kid with a troubled past when it isn't a position of need at all. He could have made a turn around morally I don't know him personally (clearly).
He was selling drugs... I mean the kid was told he would not be able to play football in Nevada. It's not like they simply caught his smoking weed and took that kind of action. Fine take morals out of this because the point is he let his team down with his actions and that to me is where the problem is. Call me ignorant all you want because you clearly know me.
You don't know that for sure. He certainly wasn't charged with selling drugs.
You probably think our lads don't smoke weed too, eh? Lol
I'm not saying there is something wrong with smoking weed. I personally do not, but have I before, yes. But they don't just kick you out of the state for smoking weed, especially when you're a stud.
Fine "moral" might have been the wrong word. Is selfish better?
Give the kid a chance. If he messes up, boot him. As long as he knows he only has one shot at Notre Dame to do things right, then the risk is worth it. Mess up... pack your bags.
But the testimony he would have IF he were to go to Notre Dame and do things right. The present risk here is therefore worth the potential reward.

I read he was caught with a large amount of weed and students ratted him out saying he sold it. Then to make it worse they found a stolen Ipad in his locker. I mean they are all rumors, and the point was that he couldn't play anymore in Nevada, that hurt his team and who's fault was it? I hope he has matured and if we got him I would support the staff's decision. I believe it is unnecessary to pursue him that's all.
Since we don't really know the circumstances it's hard to speculate but I agree with you. If he's got the grades AND has shown a desire and willingness to get things right, getting into Notre Dame could be a life changer for him.
How many of us really understood and appreciated the ramifications of our younger years. Ok, probably a few but for the most of us I bet we all have some actions that could have turned out much worse. I did, lucky I'm not dead save just being lucky.
I admit to having a heart string for underdogs, don't we all as fans of Notre Dame.
I read on Irish Envy he committed to UCLA.

We can all debate whether or not he should have been a take... but it's telling that so many other high profile don't give half a crap about some of the stuff ND does.
