Bogs, a coworker and good friend of mine has Aspergers.....and while he does fine in groups of large numbers, there are times when its been too long, you can tell.......his attitude and demeanor will change. He'll sometimes get short with people, and blatantly rude, because he gets overwhelmed at times. So.......if EV has this as an excuse, or any other form of Autism......UCLA just makes no sense, as its total student population is over 41k......but what the hell do I know, I'm just still simply amazed that the NCAA allowed this to happen without any form of explanation!!

ive been working in IT for over 10 years and i had my fill of co-workers with aspergers...takes alot of patience sometimes to communicate with them!

because he never gave us any closure. I think once people get the real reasons he choose to opt out of his commitment everything will be fine.

It does not matter why. He gone. Man, if people need "closure" over stuff like this....

I was really looking forward to meeting up with other IE members at UCLA's practice at Cal State last weekend... but then I got hit with the black death of which I am just now starting to recover from...

Def want to go to a game though.

lol... I don't know who Gareth is, but I still giggle looking the gif.

Dwight Schrute was Gareth's equivalent on the Office. His accent is very Bristol so I would say Americans would struggle a bit with his parts but it was such a great show. Essential viewing really.

Aww...I feel so bad that poor Eddie has a bad back.

(I don't feel bad that Eddie has a bad back.)

“You can’t replace the reps that he is missing right now,” Mora said. “Every day he doesn’t practice, it bothers me. We need him to contribute. He’s capable of contributing if he gets the practice time.”

I can verify that UCLA really needs him out there...last saturday I went to their practice at CS San Bernadino and they didnt look good in any phase of the game. I was disappointed that Big Eddie V wasnt participating in practice (he was the biggest reason why I wanted to go)

I'm not hating either, i approached the practice very objectionable. I assumed that the defense was only playing 3/4 speed; I saw ALOT, and I mean ALOT of dropped passes from every receiver(rb, wr, te, etc) except Devin Fuller (he was the exception, he looked pretty good). Starting QB Brett Hundley was very inaccurate, and when he did put the ball close enough to be caught, the passes were dropped. A backup QB #14 T.J Millweard looked the best, he was the most accurate, but he looked a little under-sized. Freshman qb #2 Asiantii Woulard looks like he has some passing skills, looked good in the pocket, and has a nice fluid throwing motion, but is obviously raw and needs some development.

Absolutely no running game to speak of (it was so non-existent, I thought they were purposely NOT doing any running plays) Any running plays they did run were unexcitedly smothered, not because of swarming defense, more just a bunch of guys running into each other, unable to open up holes, and unable to make plays.

Kylie Fits is a mountain of a kid, he looked huge out there (partly because he IS big, but partly because the rest of the Dline were not that big). He seemed to be a little slow, lumbering. Again, I dont know if the defense was running at 3/4 speed, but they didnt look too impressive.

I was there with a co-worker, who is a connected UCLA alum and we pretty much agreed with our assessments. My co-worker went back to their practice on Tuesday and he told me it was more of the same.(numerous dropped passes, inaccurate throws, next to no running game)

Anybody else think the degree to which Mora is openly calling out a just-got-here freshman is a bit odd?
I didn't realize the vaunted UCLA defense was in such rough shape that they have to have Eddie logging major minutes from Day One. He's more or less calling him a pussy for being injured. I've a hard time imagining Brian Kelly doing that, at least in public.

That would be a misdiagnosis. What he needs is Cranberry juice. Cue the clip, it's a classic.

Please, cue the clip. I grasped the gist of the comments from the context (and "getting" sarcasm) over time, but never understood (or cared to research) the origin.

Oh, and I'd recommend Midol as a first step with Vagisil as a fall back.
