I looked on ISD right after you posted and Mike Frank said that Eddie has been questioning his decision, the staff knows about it and they are working on smoothing it over. The thread has been deleted.

Finally the cat is out of the bag.This shouldn't come as a surprise to some of you as you have previously stated. I heard this about a month ago and didn't take it to seriously still am not. I was told it was a academic issue and it was also something else. I've been talking to a ND mod and he "believes he will show up" not betting the house though. Honestly I believe he will show up, if you follow him on instagram it also shouldn't come as a huge surprise.

Same. I don't see the logical connection here unless someone in the ND offices is holding a grudge... which doesn't make much sense either.

There are three rumors:
1) Academic: which I dismissed early on but looks like it might actually be the true one?
2) NSD screw up: probably the most far fetched. Why would he not report and miss a year just because we screwed up his announcement?
3) Distance from home: I thought this was the most plausible.

Regardless, this isn't something that is just popping up now so people shouldn't freak out too much. He actually just posted yesterday about leaving for college.

imo if you read the Irish Illustrated article it was all positive for ND. No direct quotes from him, he just posted about leaving yesterday. He's not very pro ND right now but I do believe he will be here in the middle of June.
