That is one of the best Ewing Theory stories of all time. And by now everyone knows how I feel about the Ewing Theory and Aaron Lynch.

We know things at ND are bad when our greatest "Ewing Theory" candidate was a freshman.

This thread should get shut down before the population starts in on their opinions of family drama that involve no football whatsoever

is this really a tweet from her?

No. Its not.

Some troll with a twitter name of @WE_R_ND is tweeting at mama lynch and insulting her. Looks like any chance we have of him coming back would go away if the fan base alienates his mom... IMO we need his mom on our side if we are going to convince him to come back. And YES we want him back. Hope the coaching staff is in his ear a healthy amount.

@Ir1shfan3 Stfu Lynch family is a bunch of bitches like you. The only difference, you prob know who your dad is.

Amazing that you ladies are still commenting about this. It's OK to let it go.

(I know I just added a comment myself)

I just got done watching the ESPN 30 for 30 film on Marcus Dupree and to say there are a lot of similarities would be an understatement.

Marcus Dupree left Oklahoma and went to Southern Miss. Here's the quote from the film that Aaron will probably be saying at some point down the road

"I should've went back to Oklahoma to be honest with you, I should've went back to Oklahoma. I should've listened to my Momma. She never told me nothing wrong, I should've went back to Oklahoma, but I didn't."

Don't be surprised if Aaron Lynch stays with the Irish.

Did Johnnykillz ever tell you about the time he was on the road and toured with the Backstreet Boys?

It's a good story!

Great analogy, I can't believe I didn't make this connection earlier -- that's probably my favorite 30 for 30. Really hope Aaron doesn't end up regretting going home, but someone should probably show him that film if he hasn't seen it.

Ha I thought about Lynch/Dupree last night. Also some similarities in his recruitment and the reported butting heads with coaches.

Do yourselves a favor and squash any hope you have of Aaron staying.

He's visiting USF this weekend.

I fully expect Aaron to leave because he quit the team and is in the process of leaving. I would be very suprised if he stayed. But no harm in hoping. It seems like the wiser decision, and so I hope he makes it.

As far as his visiting USF, if there is one thing that I have learned in the past two years its that reading the tea leaves is pretty worthless. I don't think his visiting USF guarantees his leaving anymore than canceling the trip would suggest he's staying. A lot happens at the last minute.

That's a dead giveaway if I've ever seen one.

From Josh Newberg on 247:
I spoke to someone close to Lynch last night and he told me, “it’s pretty much a done deal to USF”. The only thing that will make it official is when he enrolls in class.

Also said that he doesn't see anyway that Lynch could get a waiver to play this year.
