Adopting doesn't make you a good person (see: Michele Bachmann), but from everything I have heard Richt does seem like a good guy. I definitely want to see every good thing happen to ND, but I'm not totally comfortable with the idea of rooting for others to fail in order to see it happen.

This is it; one of the wisest things I have ever heard (read) on this site.

Many parents adopt because they can't have their own children, this doesn't have any effect on their character. Just means then cant have kids.

What about the ones that adopt when they don't need to?

Could be good people or could be people who care to much about how they are perceived. Point is, just because you adopt doesn't make you a good person. It would but an individual judgement on each individual just as you would judge any regular human who has or hasn't adopted.

I am not trying to say Richt is or isn't a good person. I don't know anything about him to make that judgement, and I would imagine few are in that position. Just trying to say because he adopted to kids from the Ukraine doesn't really mean jack.

A NY attorney who doesn't like Bachmann? Shocking.

Just because you adopt doesn't ALWAYS make you a good person.

I wasn't commenting on Richt, just adopting in general but thanks.
Tomorrow we could find out the most disturbing news on him and your opinion would change.
I've not said anything positive or negative on Richt because an article isn't enough to judge a person.

I think Georgia loses Boise, SC, Miss St, Florida and a random.. Richt gets fired because he sucks..

I'm glad Marshall is coming to the campus at some point. It makes the possibility of getting him a reality.

But with that said, we must win at least 10 games and have a greasy fast lightning rushing attack.

I hope he makes it for the USC game. I think Darby will be in his ear no matter what so he doesn't need to be at the MSU (that is Darby's visit right?) game with him.

I think a USC night game with some other top recruits will be more influential. That atmosphere is going to be electric and we finally seem to have the upper-hand.

What?

From the best of the best on rivals i guess Darby is making it up for the USC game too.

Would I be shunned if I say Richt seems like a good guy? I mean, I don't know much about him other than he adopted those Ukraine children.

From wikipedia:

I am critic of Mark Richt. He is a good person? Not sure. He does a lot for the community and claims to a religious man expect when it comes to his football team. 12 of his players were arrested last year. 12. He is close to over 100 arrest in his time at UGA. I guess character does not matter in football

He isn't too good to get shat on. Just my opinion--which is the same about UGA in general.

So did Tressel. I agree that he doesn't pass the smell test.

Agreed polish and know many others in the Atl that see it the same way. I feel he has underachieved with talent he has recruited. The NFL is loaded with bulldogs!!
I do think Crowell will get the ball early and often this fall. Let's hope that points K. Marshall in our direction!!
Go Irish
Btw been in Cumming Ga. 17 years , by way of Crystal Lake Il. And sure could go for a Lou Malnati's deep dish right about now!!

I think Crowell having a big year actually helps UGAs chances. He is constantly retweeting stuff from UGA fans about coming to Georgia to form the best tandem in CFB , Crowell and Marshall.

Practically everyone uses two backs now.

I think Georgia goes 7-5 which in that case Richt is probably gone.

So glad to be going to the USC game. Could potentially end up having to tell recruits no after the game.

Looooooove it.

Here's hoping we put an epic beatdown on the Trojans like never before! Really though, this will come down between UGA and ND. Notre Dame has the talent to produce better results now than Georgia. I think winning 10 or 11 games seals the deal for ND.
