Tigerdroppings is claiming that ND giving schollies to BOTH Kiel brothers...not seen anything about it anywhere else...I doubt it, but I'll ask if anyone heard anything on it?

Even if we did, wouldn't Dusty be subject to the transfer rule where he has to sit out a year?

I definitely agree with what your saying, I also think (hope) that once he gets going at ND and feels like he's a part of the team and university that he'll realize this was the place for him all along.

Just remember that the kid was torn by the decision in December. He obviously had legit interest in ND then and, if the story about his mother is true, that pushed it over the top. This isn't an instance where ND was out of the picture for the last three months and he shows up on their door step.

I think it's just because the family hasn't talked at all to the media, thus no confirmation. Bottom line is that as soon as he attends his first class it's a done deal.

I was thinking the same thing but I'd hate for the kid to have made his own decision only to feel pushed into going to his 2nd choice. Not saying that he doesn't really like ND... he clearly does. I just don't want him to be thinking sometime down the road that he made the wrong decision. I'd really like to hear how this went down from Gunner himself. Nonetheless... I'm happier than a pig in ****!

If you want crazy, go read the Aaron Lynch saga. When you are done, realize that we had another thread before that one that was just as long and just as crazy. I believe this board wasn't as big when Jimmy committed. I don't know if i was a member or just a follower then though. I was excited though.

I remember the Lynch saga all too well, lol. I got into recruiting a little the year before. I dove in head first last year. Man, what a way to start! This year is looking to top last year potentially- unreal! The pendulum swing started with you, GUNNER!

Yes he would...but I am doubting the validity of the rumor and just curious if it was just LSU whining (my guess)

Classes start today, so it depends on when his first class is scheduled and obviously whether he is actually on campus at this point and thus physically able to attend class.

Wasn't at the team's workout, but this might just be because he needs to be physically cleared to play first. Still expected to be on campus sometime today.

Kiel not at 7AM workout because he is likely getting his physical done. Can't practice without getting your physical done by ND and unless they were going to do it at 5 AM... the logistics of that are pretty tough. He's either on campus right now/in class or will be there later today.

wiltfong was on bill king this morning rivals radio (tuesday morning) i felt like he didnt want to tell king that kiel was 100% irish beacuse he wa probabaly working on his story and didnt want the radio interview to be the final report on the matter. wiltfong was and is the closest guy to kiel family throughout his whole recrutiment.

Hey Gang,

I have decided to come out of my self-imposed posting ban. After a couple weeks of terrible recruiting news, I was finding myself disenchanted. I started getting angry at random people at work and not paying attention to the important things in life. I was still reading though, and I laughed when this started happening. I especially liked all of the "Wooly is going to ____" comments. Glad some of you thought of my exuberance in this great time in Notre Dame football.

As you all know, Gunner is my favorite recruit in this class. Not my favorite ND target, but my favorite recruit period. I truly feel that he will be the catalyst for change in our program. Watching him throw TD bombs to guys like Daniels and Deontay will be awesome.

We may have our ups and downs as Notre Dame fans, but today, it is a great day to be Irish.
