Soooo. Rees did not have a defense to protect him like Golson had in 2012 and the first five games of 2014. Fedora absolutely exposed Van Gorder last night with tempo and play design. So with Golson having horrible fumble issues running it's basically worse than a Rees INT because they are occurring in bad field position versus basically a bad punt. Not only giving great field position to our opponents but he is making horrible decisions passing. We will absolutely start losing with the TOs and if VanGorder does not come correct on Saturday.

I don't dispute that Golson could cost us a game with turnovers but if we are making comparisons then I don't think it's fair to say his fumbles are worse than Tommy's INTs. Golson is throwing more TDs and running more TDs than Rees could and that has been the difference. How many times were we in games last year that had a back-breaking Rees turnover? I'm a Rees apologist but we could've beat Stanford in Palo Alto but he threw another INT and he wasn't dynamic enough to make up for it.

The defense has been lights out but Golson has done his part for each of the 6 victories, so let's not go too far lambasting our starter who is 15-1.

Exactly. One is not worse than the other as far as points go. TOs are killers. Plus when Golson fumbles running, it's much worse because of field position.

Totally sucks, but at least Golson is electric enough the rest of the time to put up points to cover his mistakes.

Not going to be acceptable Saturday though.

Just comparing Golson to Reese is moronic. Reese was a back up. He should have backed up Crist & Golson his whole career. Kelly Effed Crist in 2011 & Golson Effed us all in 2013. Reese cannot do what Golson can period. Three fumbles in three games where he's diving forward to get another yard or two. Learning the slide technique cures that with like no effort. SLIDE DAMMIT!

Rees couldnt make up for his turnovers.

Golson can make up for his turnovers.

Golson needs to cut the shit and tighten up.

4 INts and 4 fumbles in 3 games for Golson. Not even Turnover Tommy accomplished that. Chill with the moronic stuff big cat.

Golson's biggest stage of the year. He knows it. We know it. He'll rise.

With everyone talking about Winston, it's truly his moment to seize.

I have that feeling too. This is an opportunity for Everett to really shine. He has all the weopons, and if the OL can gel, and he can protect the football I believe that this game becomes much more interesting and scary for FSU. I hope we are right?!

He rose to occasion at first game back, then the night game vs Mich.

Purdue was wishy washy first half.

Had something to play for vs Cuse (Whitfield in attendance) struggled at times, also 25 straight.

UNC was his one time destination and prolly had a lot of folks in attendance or watching back home. Struggled early.

The meaningful games have taken some introductory series for him to get going. Can he start hot out of the gate at Doak in primetime? We can only hope.

I can now confirm via snapchat that Everett Golson ate at Bar Bici - a South Bend Italian fast food restaurant located on Eddy St. - sometime on Thursday afternoon/evening.

Discuss.

Nothing to understand. I got a snapchat (out of touch folks read "picture") of Everett in a restaurant that my friend works at. Since IE like to have fun and over analyze everything, I thought I would share. All in good fun!

how did he eat it? knife and fork or bare hands?

Well they didn't have what he was originally going to order, but he made a great split-second decision and audibled to the spaghetti and meatballs. The order came out right on time, but when he turned to take his seat his first and second options were taken. With the kind of agility that only a few kids in this country have, he found a wide open corner booth right by the window. He sat there and ate with incredible accuracy. Didn't miss a single noodle.

Golson had his fourth 3-TD pass game of the year and the fifth of his career. His 31 career TD passes tie Joe Theismann for 7th in ND history.

Golson had his third 300-yard passing game in the last 4 games. It is his fourth career 300-yard passing game, ranking 4th behind only Quinn's 11, Clausen's 10 and Rees' 7.

Golson's 52 passing attempts were a career-high. His 31 completions were one shy of his best performance, 32 against Syracuse.

Was that last throw credited as a pick??? It clearly looked to me like the defender was way out of bounds? Not that it matters.

Yeah, that final drive was his Heisman moment. Only to be taken away by a bull**** flag. Feel for the kid and the team. Very proud of this team.
