I wonder how much of that million remains after taxes, paying off your agent, and other expenses? Hopefully he learned about managing his finances while at ND.

He's been mostly on practice squad during that time, right? Hard to say he's really been in the system. Occasionally he's been called up to be kick returner.

Looks like as a back he has 7 carries for 34 yards in his career. 15 returns total.

I personally thought after 2 years he would be in a career somewhere outside of football. Good for him to still be around the league.

I don't think Practice Squad members make very much though. They get paid by the week, so depending on how long they're part of practice squad they may not make that much. Looks like the minimum is $7,200 a week, which is still pretty good, but you wonder with an ND degree if you can't make more than that (Over the course of a year, given the short NFL season and the fact not all players remain there all season) without putting your body through hell.

Jets haven't had a good kick returner since Leon Washington.
He'll certainly get a fair shot at the job.

5 years in the league is certainly better than I expected.

I think it's better than anyone expected, but good for him. The problem with being a KO return guy, is the number of opportunities to prove yourself have dropped considerably over the years. So many kickers put the ball in the end zone anymore.

yes. GA was on the practice squad at the time, and friend to Hunt.

About a year after his twin brother passed away George the third has now passed as well at age 27.

Big time talent with game breaking experience. Wish he would have stayed for his senior season.

RIP George and go be with your brother.
