Am I way wrong when I ask this question: Didn't Weis call his wildcat formation the Leprechaun formation?
I always thought we called it the leprecat ...

I always thought it was called "Minus 5"....
I know it's only Spring practice but these videos get me more and more excited for this year, if that was even possible. Troy looks like a beast, making his move there look genius. GAIII shows a ton of burst and pure speed. And love Booker. Guy is gonna be a great coach, let alone good recruiter. Kelly knows what he's doing.

Practice Report: Day Seven update | Inside the Irish
Keith Arnold breaks down the practice clip play by play. Points out a lot of action I missed watching the video.
Here's the UND video so you don't have to search back through the thread.

I hope all the ND QBs can duplicate that pass thrown by Rees to Eifert. ND has a definite advantage with tall receivers but it won't be realized if the QB, whoever that is, can't make that throw. Floyd could have had about a dozen more TDs last year if ANY of the QBs could have thrown that pass with regularity.
NO practice Sunday. They return on Monday.
its too bad Rees somewhat underthrew the pass to Eifert. You can tell as he sort of had to slow down, luckily Jackson blew the coverage or it probably would have been a pick.
Looked to me like he was running a "GO" route and the throw was suspect or Rees recognized defense and just got the ball out quick. From Jackson's positioning I hope it was a zone and the safety was just slow in getting over (no different from the past 20 years).
I can understand why Niklas was moved to TE. The other TE's all have the build of wide receivers. Can't see any of them with the bulk to be effective blockers in a tight formation. Niklas at least has the size to accomplish this type of assignment.

I would love to see Goodman breakout, but I have serious, serious doubts.
Agreed, and this scares me cause he seems to be whipping our DBs in practice...no bueno for our DBs
Goodman is fast and is a senior. He should be able to get enough separation against most college corners at this point is his career, let alone some kids with no starts.
George looks awesome running the ball but looked terrible, and terrified in the pass protection drill. He won't play as much as it appears he will if he doesn't get that figured out (see Cierre Wood 2 years ago)
I liked seeing that we are working on going deep. Will it transition to game day play calls? We will find out.
I hope our offensive line was having a bad day in the 1 on 1 pass pro drill.
