Originally committed to USC as a sophomore, but is looking around. Mike Denbrock stopped by his school yesterday to see if there was ND interest and Jordan made it clear he was interested. He hopes to set up a visit to ND sometime in the spring.

Went to the same high school as Jimmy, who has been in his ear about the Irish for sometime, which is the primary source of the ND interest.

P.S. His gf's father is an Irish alumni, and she is a huge ND fan FWIW.

If you're a receiver or a QB in the '12 class, you better better have an "A" game in order to get consideration by this staff. There are some big talents out there.

Really do not see him coming to ND but it's worth a shot. Might be the best WR in CA next year.

Told ISD he is going to try and make it to ND's Junior Day. We should see how genuine his interest is in the Irish if he makes the effort to come or not in late February.

Closing in on an offer. Tony Alford has been trying to reach him the past few days. Plans to visit for the Blue & Gold game.

So let me get this straight...

USC has around 7-10 scholarships. And they have a WR committed?

I actually wouldn't mind missing out on this. I want to see them have the worst recruiting cycle ever.

Ummm, actually they have 3 (!!!) wide receivers committed (although one might be accepted as an 'athlete' and be moved). Crazy right? Many of their fans are perplexed by it, and they kinda expect Payton to leave and won't be too disappointed if he does, because of the numbers.

However, many fans think they'll get major relief from the sanctions on appeal, and therefore don't believe the 7-10 scholly numbers at all...

3 WRs? Would that make like 90% of there team WRs?

at least they'll be fast lol.

I for one hope Southern Cals appeal goes well. I don't want any excuses when we start owning them for another 13 year run. Besides, as long as Goatboy is there, its like a self imposed probation. We've had our Bob Davie, now they have theirs.

I disagree. If you break the law, you should pay the consequences. A losing team can always find excuses, but having a bad program due to punishment for cheating is a pretty lame one.

I hope they get slapped hard too. "Laws" are useless without tough enforcement, PLUS the current coach is a probable multiple offender and deserves the problems he'll get. "Dynasties" which get there by using questionable practices are not honorable opponents; we have others who are far more honorable and I am happy to play them at their best.

Yeah-I agree that they need to be punished for the crimes they committed. I'm glad they finally got caught for doing what we all knew they did. I don't , however like seeing them punished while Auburn and Cam Newton got away with murder and everyone knows that their program is dirty. But a good Southern Cal program bodes well for us when we smoke them on the field.

Alford has got all the right moves in all the right places... i have a good feeling he can steal Payton for those greaseballs Kiffin and Orgeron.
