If Brandon Miller can play in the NBA, for sure.Is any NFL franchise gonna touch this dope?

NCAA is supposed to do something very soon. We'll see how it goes. Looks like the Appeals court is loaded with judges who are graduates of TTU.There are options that wouldn't require waiting for February.
NCAA can file an appeal and move to stay the trial court's order pending that review. NCAA can also ask for an expedited appeal, based on the season falling before the scheduled trial date.
I don't know what's going to happen with either of those options, but we'll know well before February. And most likely before Sorsby reports to fall camp.
I respectfully disagree. TTU hasn't won a damn thing in football, ever. I don't think UGA, OSU, even scUM are scared of them even if they've gotten a little NIL boost of late. Didn't get them over the hump last year. Besides, the bans are for *all sports,* not just football.as much as I hate the outcome of the Sorsby decision and the way Campbell is acting, the piling on sure feels like because the Big 10 and UGA doesn’t like that Tech can outspend them
It depends on how good he is. I don't think what we've seen up to now is a QB that's worth the headache. Is any NFL franchise gonna touch this dope?
This. The numbers on prevalence of gambling among young men are troubling to say the least. We've already seen the NBA and MLB have pretty serious gambling scandals the past few years, and that is amongst real deal professionals. Do we really think the 18-24 year olds who have been given tens of thousands or more and have access to gambling via their phones aren't going to get into even more trouble? Shoot if this isn't resolved, the FBI will have a standing college football gambling task force.I think two things can be true: 1. The majority of B1G or SEC teams would likely do the same thing if they thought it would make a playoff run more likely. 2. The B1G and SEC are still correct to look to punish TX Tech extra-judicially for playing him because this is a terrible look.
The real damage here isn't even Sorsby. Until this gets straightened out every time a player does something weird or suspicious fans on any team fans are going to wonder whether he has a bet placed somewhere.

Following the Art Schlichter playbook.I don't think any NFL team is going to touch him. It's one thing if its a WR or CB, but the QB is the face of the team. The position where you need someone with their shit together. Would any of these teams trust a degenerate gambler that bets on his own games to play QUARTERBACK?
Yes, why are we swooning over this? This. The numbers on prevalence of gambling among young men are troubling to say the least. Should IU and Cincy be punished as well? Afterall, he placed bets while at those schools.
For playing a player after being deemed ineligible by the NCAA?
You just described the last 150 years of college football. That's a disgusting level of corruption.
Were they bad at math? I knew a few people who played online hold 'em with me in the early 2002-2007 range. I played very conservatively until I met a friend who was in med school, playing to earn money for the fall semester. He had a system, which was really just a slightly updated copy from some poker books he read, and we played his system with an avg of ~$15/hr earnings, depending on how many concurrent games you could play. I would only play two because that was a new world for me, he'd run 4 hands, making closer to ~$30/hr over the duration of the summer. When I was in college, I knew kids who took out student loans and used that money for weekend Hold 'Em parties. Online gambling was slowly becoming a thing and the kids who got addicted to that quickly lost everything and dropped out of college. I can't begin to imagine that same kid being in possession of a million dollar NIL deal AND having 24/7 access to gambling via his phone.
IU should lose their titleShould IU and Cincy be punished as well? Afterall, he placed bets while at those schools.

He was also the only person I met to hit a 39 on the MCAT. Which is certainly 99.9...% percentile
Some people believe in their "unique insight" while others learn the math behind it. It's painful to watch someone mentally destabilize when they've committed to a bad hand, online poker saves you from that anguish.
I saw it too. An ex-girlfriend of mine burned up $150 while I was at class. I started with $20, lost half and built it up, was planning on seeing how far I could take $20 as an "experiment" before I met the friend above.I can't speak to each one of their strategies. I just recall the cultural phenomenon of Hold Em during my high school and college days and how some kids became addicted to it. Online poker poured gasoline on that addiction. Some of them never could dig out of the holes they created. It was crazy to see.
IU should lose their title for 2025 because of a guy who played there in 2023?IU should lose their title
I wasn’t serious. I am kind of salty though, because I firmly believe ND would have beaten them. I’m still really upset that Alabama made the playoffs over ND.IU should lose their title for 2025 because of a guy who played there in 2023?
I’m no big IU fan, but why?
He will be doing that for a long time or his replacement. Horribly irresponsible for them allow Sorbsy to proceed with the lawsuit and open up this disaster. But hey they have Cody Campbell.Their AD is out doing damage control.
Idk how he even does damage control. There are really only two paths here: 1) they embrace the villain role and ride with Sorsby and hope they win a natty (lol), and face the consequences later (other universities banning scheduling them, etc). or 2) they do the right thing and cut ties with Sorsby and attempt to save face.Their AD is out doing damage control.
They were woefully unprepared for there to be any backlash.
Exactly - even Pete Rose always bet on the Reds to win.My man bet the under on a team he was QB for. He should be suspended for being an asshole.
