Di Fara in Brooklyn was hands down my fave pizza of all time. I haven't had it since Dom died, but I use to ride the subway for an hour to get it. 3-4 hour ordeal (lived on 36th and 3rd) and I did it once a month when I lived in NYC.10 best pizza places I've had, in no order. Would score these all above a 9.0 out of 10 on my pizza rankings.
DeNino's of Staten Island
Di Fara of Brooklyn
Sally's in New Haven, CT
Frank Pepe in New Haven, CT
Adrienne's square slice on Stone Street in Manhattan
John's of Bleeker in Manhattan
Pete and Elda's in Neptune, NJ (Bar Pie)
Vic's of Bradley Beach, NJ (Bar Pie)
Lee's on Staten Island (Bar Pie)
L&B Spumoni Garden square Sicilian in Brooklyn
New Haven, CT is the best pizza-city in the USA.
reps, its definitely worth a visit. their ranch dressing is so watery though.Buddy’s smacks. A Detroit native college buddy of mine recommended it and I gotta say that’s nearly as good as any pizza you’ll find anywhere

f'n degeneratesGreater Cincy has seen a boom in pickle pizza... ranch sauce base with pickles and cheese baked over top.
I haven't felt the calling to try it yet lol.
Grew up in the Northeast. The best pizza is always [insert local place where you would go after basketball practice or pickup and bring home—almost never delivery because it’s not worth the delivery fee being so close by]’s Pizza. They always had the loud ass fan that sounded like a jet engine you could hear from the outside, smell the dough before you walked in, green and pink neon lights around all of the windows, had faded pictures of Italy on the walls, and a staff that barely spoke English. Don’t forget the little ceramic fat man holding up a pie in a chef’s hat. Bonus points if they served a Buffalo chicken or penne vodka pizza. Their wings were probably pretty good too, but you’d only ever get those for the super bowl.
Having transplanted to Chicago…Pequod’s is the move. Pub style thin crust cut into squares is just okay.
This reference hahaha, damn it Lion, I'm belly laughing.I would follow you into the Mists of Avalon with business ideas like that
I dunno about Pequods but the rest of this all remains true.Grew up in the Northeast. It was an experience watching him make a pie. Took forever but Dom was a legend. The olive oil and rusty scissor cutting the basil at the end was awesome. Haven’t had it since he passed but hopefully his kids learned something and don’t cut corners.Di Fara in Brooklyn was hands down my fave pizza of all time. Imagine the guy that marries her!Imagine after they grow up. Holy fuck.
It's def different than what we made it here. I've been to Naples too and there is a pretty authentic spot in my neighborhood... I legit love it and I'm not all that obsessed with pizza if I'm honest. Hell, Italian food in general to me is massively overrated. Anyway, I do love a really good Naples-style pizza.I lived in Naples. ITALY. The birthplace of pizza with all natural ingredients!!! I lived there for nearly 4 years and miss the pizza 🍕!!

I’m sorry but outside a giant cut of prime rib, a chicken parm cutlet the size of my head with some white sauce mostaccioli is one of the best meals on the planet
