I'd feel a lot better about AK if he hadn't missed so much time due to injury. He had really started to come on in Spring and early Fall Camp prior to the ankle injury. I believe that occurred in the middle of August. And, he's been very limited since then.

Well, that sucks. I didn't know that. Keanaaina is listed 20 lbs. heavier and has an extra year of experience at the college level, so this is not ideal.

Yea, it didn't get a lot of coverage when it happened. Just a couple of mentions here or there from Fall Camp. I added those links from II above. But, I haven't seen any significant follow up on the injury. Though, I do believe, O'Malley at II mentioned that he's been available for the last week or so.

Notre Dame Practice Report: (August 25) (247sports.com) This says it happened around Aug. 17th.

Notre Dame’s 10 Most Underrated Players Entering 2021 Season (247sports.com)

I believe I read at II that he's been back practicing for a week or so now.

I wasn't aware of this either. He's tailored for this kind of game.

Any theories as to why Kelly would dodge the question? Maybe Hinish is dealing with an injury rather than COVID?

All speculation: Tested positive, hoping for false positive. Probably will retest closer to game (or tomorrow).

If he's not on the bus, we'll know it's COVID.

Anyone have the details on what happened with Botelho the first couple weeks? Dickskell hinted that it was an eligibility thing and wasn't something JB did intentionally.

If they are vaxxed they shouldn't even be tested

Why?
You can still get ANY virus even if you are vaccinated.
It’s less likely & the negative outcomes are much lower, but you can still contract and transmit viruses if you are vaccinated for that virus.

(the problem with Skyline is that they decided to call it 'chili,' which offends the rest of the country's sensibilities about what 'chili' should be. If they called it "Skyline's Greek Pasta Sauce," it would be an uncontroversial regional fare that would be a fun thing to try while in the Cincinnati area. Instead, Skyline is a national battleground over food ideology.)

Oh the critics can fuck off. Skyline is delicious. I'll fight anyone (Beau) to the death that dares besmirch their good name.

I'm just saying, more people would find it to be an okay dish if they weren't preemptively offended by seeing the dish and then thinking, "that's not chili, what is this nonsense?" before they've even tried it.

There isn't a much better 'Cincinnati' thing than going to an early Saturday morning youth football game (see also: any live sporting event), working up an appetite, then hitting a Skyline and grabbing three cheese coneys with steaming hot chili and ice cold shredded cheddar over top. It's a delightful contradiction that hits the spot every time. The always-fresh fountain Pepsi on the side is an added bonus.

Alright, I can deal with the cinnamon(?) chili over spaghetti noodles but... Pepsi? Have you no shame, sir?

I would prefer a fountain Coke of course, but Mountain Dew is an acceptable replacement for the Pepsi based on Skyline's offerings and contractual obligations.

(I actually like making Skyline dip as a late night, drunk snack it's just that tiny hot dogs, chili and cheap shredded cheese just isn't what I think of when I think of "quality" food.)

So what your saying is that it's really Coney sauce? :cbanana:
